What's new
Project Hero v0.15.11 -- Hand-Built Iron Man Suit-Ups, Mark 1 Ground Pound, Faster Flight, Research Note Serums, Safer Squad Pets
🔨 NEW: BUILD YOUR SUIT BY HAND (C)
- Mark 1 (30 seconds): press C with your Mark 1 in your pack and Tony builds it around himself with a hammer.
- He sits down on the floor to fit the boots and greaves, hammering each one and pulling the straps tight.
- He stands up, lifts the chestplate over his head and pulls it down, rivets it, hammers the bracer on his arm and rolls his shoulders.
- The helmet goes on last and he pulls the faceplate down himself.
- Every hammer strike throws sparks and clangs like an anvil.
- Marks 2 to 7 (25 seconds): pressing C now plays a refined workshop build instead.
- You stay on your feet: step into the boots, ratchet the ankle bolts with a wrench, slap the greaves shut and tap them at the knee.
- Clamp the chestplate shut, press the arc reactor home, rivet it, ratchet and clamp the gauntlets, then flex.
- Helmet on, jaw clamps, neck bolt, and the faceplate comes down last.
- Each piece only goes on when it's actually fitted, so the suit builds up piece by piece.
- You can't move, jump, fly or use abilities during the build, and you can't be hurt while the suit is going on.
- Missing pieces are skipped, so a partial suit builds faster.
- The hammer and wrench are just for the animation, not items you keep.
- Logging out, changing dimension or the server stopping finishes the suit instantly. Dying stops the build, and nothing is lost or duplicated.
- Unchanged: the Stark Gantry, the Mark 5 suitcase, the Mark 7 bracelets and orbital pod, calling suits with the glasses, Protocol Phoenix, and the Mark 8's own suit-up.
🦾 IRON MAN CHANGES
- Haste: Marks 1 to 3 give Haste I, and Mark 4 and up give Haste II (hidden, like the suit's Resistance). Haste from potions or beacons is never removed.
- Your faceplate now closes automatically when you hit an enemy with a normal melee attack.
- Your suit no longer flies itself back to a Suit Platform when you die. It now drops like any other armour. Sending suits home from the Sneak+C picker still works.
- New Mark 1 recipes: each Mark 1 piece now needs the matching iron armour piece (iron helmet for the helmet, and so on) in the middle of its old Metal Plating recipe.
- Flight speeds:
- Mark 2: 15 blocks/s, 30 blocks/s sprinting
- Mark 3 to Mark 8: 18 blocks/s, 35 blocks/s sprinting
- The suit spec screen now shows a Speed row.
- Mob highlight: measured as a full sphere around the middle of your body, so mobs far above and below you are outlined too, even through solid rock.
- Open faceplate: only the face of your skin's hat layer shows now. The hat layer no longer pokes out of the sides, top or back of the helmet.
- Auto-aim and lock-on no longer pick your squadmates' pets, your own pets, or players when PvP is off.
👊 MARK 1 COMBAT
- Strong Punch reaches 5 blocks (was 4), and is easier to land (it no longer passes over mobs' heads).
- It now has a small splash: anything within 2 blocks of the impact takes half damage and gets knocked back. Punching a wall or floor splashes too.
- NEW Shift+R, Ground Pound: slam the ground and hit everything within 5 blocks.
- 12 damage at the centre, falling to 6 at the edge
- Knocks enemies outward and pops them into the air
- Rings of the ground's own block chunks fly out
- Costs 40 energy, 8 second cooldown
- Works up to 3 blocks above the ground
- Never hits your squad
🧪 RESEARCH NOTES NOW MAKE SERUMS
- Damaged Research Notes finally have a use.
- Craft 4 notes about the same power + 1 Glass Bottle (any slots) to get that power's serum.
- Craft 4 blank notes + 1 Glass Bottle to get a Mutagenic Serum (a random mutation you don't have yet).
- Notes for powers that are currently disabled count as blank notes.
- Studying a note still unlocks its guide entry like before.
- The note's tooltip shows the recipe.
🐺 SQUADMATES' PETS ARE SAFE
- You can no longer hurt your squadmates' pets: wolves, cats, parrots, horses, Symbiote pet hosts and other mods' pets.
- Covers melee, arrows and other projectiles, and every power and ability, even while the pet's owner is offline.
- Auto-targeting, weapon combos, the Moon Knight grapple and healing all treat squadmates' pets as friendly.
- Squad friendly fire being on doesn't change this. It's for sparring with your squadmates, not their animals.
💼 KINGPIN'S STASH
- The stash from the Kingpin warehouse raid now includes 16 to 32 redstone (more with bigger parties) and a 50% chance of 1 to 2 redstone blocks.
🔫 PUNISHER SAFEHOUSE REBUILT
- Fixed the backwards ladder: it now sits against the wall so you can actually climb in and out.
- The hatch is now a wooden trapdoor you can open by hand (it used to be an iron one), sitting flush with the ground in a cobblestone ring.
- The bunker is deeper underground and fully rebuilt inside:
- workbench wall with crafting, smithing and fletching tables, a grindstone and the barrel holding the Training Manual
- a bed and the two loot chests
- a firing range with a bullseye, hay backstop and target blocks
- lanterns and a rug
- Same loot and same Training Manual as before.
🔥 LASER VISION COOKS
- Animals killed by Laser Vision (and Kryptonian Heat Vision) now drop cooked meat: cooked beef, porkchop, chicken, mutton, rabbit and fish.
- No fire is placed on the ground.
📖 The guidebook covers all of the above (hand-built suit-ups, Ground Pound, Haste, note serums, squad pets, the new stash).
