Prehistoric Park Manager
Turn your dinosaur world into a fully fledged theme park!
This mod only adds one item! Using a single management tool, you can draw enclosures around your dinosaurs, draw a path network for visitors to use, set ticket prices, manage your staff, and see your park grow!
⚠️ This mod is still in very early development. Most things are stable and playable, but content is actively being added. Expect future updates to bring new features, lots of balance changes, and expanded dinosaur support.
Some of the main features:
Enclosure Drawing: Right-click the ground with the Park Manager Tool to place points and build a custom polygon. Closing the loop saves your enclosure and renders it in-game whenever you hold the manager tool. (Right clicking on a placed inventory in enclosure mode also adds it to the list of feeders within the enclosure as well.)
Dinosaur Needs & Happiness: Every registered dinosaur has a full needs profile: hunger, thirst, environmental preferences, social preferences, food preferences, and more. These feed into a per-animal happiness score that directly affects your park's public rating and visitor flow.
Physical Visitors: Actual villagers arrive in a continuous flow based on your park's public reputation, ticket price, enclosure appeal, and time of day.
Visitor Path Networks: The path mode in the manager tool allows you to draw paths between nodes that visitors will actually use. They intentionally route to enclosures to watch dinosaurs, stop at concession stands when hungry, and find their way back to the gate when it's time to leave.
Park Management Dashboard: A full-screen UI (press P) can be opened to show all your park's important info live along with a zoomable polygon map of all your enclosures. Clicking on an enclosure gives a screen showing the specific info on each individual dino currently in the enclosure (vitals, happiness, rating, that sort of thing).
Multiplayer Ownership — Parks support an Owner/Ranger role system. Owners can hire, fire, and reassign staff through the in-game terminal. Invited players accept or decline via clickable chat links.
Compatibility
Fully supported and intended to be used alongside any of the below mods:
Custom mob configs are planned in a future update (which will make it straightforward to register any modded mob on your own), but this is not included yet. I'll get around to it eventually. Probably.
Short note: When installed alongside Fossil & Archaeology, my mod applies a handful of performance optimizations to their dinos just to reduce server hitches. No F&A code or assets are used, but I just thought I should mention it because if you experience any issues with their mod you probably shouldn't go complaining to them. (It could have easily been caused by me lol.)
