Pogemobs
Pogemobs adds guinea pigs to Minecraft. They live in small herds, chatter to each other, and can be won over with a bit of patience and a lot of vegetables.
Finding them
Guinea pigs spawn in groups of 4 to 10 in meadows, sparse jungles, plains and windswept hills.
Coats and personalities
Every guinea pig rolls one of four coats and one of four personalities:
- **Nippy** guinea pigs will give you a warning nip if you crowd them.
- **Vocal** guinea pigs talk a lot more than the others.
- **Skittish** guinea pigs startle easily and bolt.
- **Zoomy** guinea pigs run laps and popcorn when they're happy.
Taming
1. Feed a wild guinea pig vegetables to domesticate it.
2. Feed a domesticated one fruit to tame it.
Tamed guinea pigs follow you, sit when told, and can be bred. Babies inherit their coat and personality from their parents.
Life as a guinea pig
- They graze, twitch their ears and wheek when you feed them.
- They dance when Stal is playing.
- Wolves, foxes, stray cats and ocelots hunt them, and guinea pigs run from them on sight. Tamed cats and wolves leave them alone.
Food
Guinea pigs drop raw cuy, which can be cooked in a furnace, smoker or campfire. Fire Aspect drops it cooked, and Looting increases the drop.
