Player Dweller - Better Cave Dweller Addon

Become the Cave Dweller and hunt your friends.

Player Dweller is an unofficial addon inspired by the Better Cave Dweller project. It allows players to fully control the Cave Dweller while preserving its appearance and animations, making it ideal for multiplayer horror experiences, custom game modes and content creation.

Although it is presented as an addon, Player Dweller does not require the original Better Cave Dweller mod to be installed. It is a standalone mod built specifically for Minecraft Forge 1.19.2.

This project was originally developed for a YouTube video on Yotoro's channel. While it may receive occasional bug fixes or small quality-of-life improvements, it is not intended to become a large-scale project or receive frequent updates or ports to newer Minecraft versions, at least for the foreseeable future.

Commands

/dweller

Transforms yourself into the Cave Dweller.

/dweller <player>

Transforms another player (Permission Level 2 required).

Dependencies

Player Dweller requires:

• Minecraft Forge 1.19.2
• GeckoLib 3.1.40

No other mods are required.

The assets used by Player Dweller are based on Better Cave Dweller, created by 8bitmika, which combines and expands upon previous Cave Dweller projects with permission from their original creators and is released under the MIT License.
