Player Animation Legacy
A fully client-side mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 (Forge) that backports modern player animations from the Fresh Animations Player pack.
All models and animations are built directly into the mod jar, so no separate resource packs are required.
Because the mod is strictly client-side (clientSideOnly), you can use it on any multiplayer vanilla or modded server without requiring the server to install it.
Requirements
- Minecraft Forge 1.12.2
- MixinBooter (8.0+) — required for animation mixins: CurseForge / Modrinth
Features
- Smooth player animations for walking, running, swimming, jumping, crouching, gliding, and combat.
- Synchronized armor and cape positioning following animated limbs.
- Fixed elytra folding and attachment during flight and walking.
- Fixed first-person hand positioning.
- Fully client-side.
