PhonyBlocks is a mod that adds 10 blocks that copy off of 10 existing blocks in-game. These blocks generate in the world naturally like their counterparts and when mined, explode. An attempt at making mining a little harder.
Each block is mined a bit slower than its' counterpart, but it's hard to notice. Each block also has some sort of texture change (for example, Phony Gold Ore has a small tint of Red added to it), but it is also hard to notice.
The Phony Ores spawn about 50% less than their originals, but they do spawn at the same levels. Phony Emerald Ore spawns everywhere in the world, making it easy to tell when it is a fake. For the Stone and Netherrack, they spawn in as about 1-5% of stone/netherrack for each chunk in their respective dimensions. They aren't much to worry about. At least I think.
All of them are craftable, and here's how:
Phony Stone and Netherrack are made like this (just replace the stone with netherrack for Phony Netherrack)
and the ores are made like this (replace the diamond with whatever mineral you want and replace the stone to netherrack for Quartz)
