Persistent Fake Players
Keep automation, farms, and special dimension mechanics running with persistent fake players that behave like real survival players where it matters.
Features
- Persistent fake players survive world restarts and crashes
- Keep a configurable chunk radius actively ticking
- Count for natural mob-spawning distance checks
- Allow the Ender Dragon crystal respawn ritual without a real player remaining in the End
- Never take damage, die, despawn, or become a mob target
- Do not interfere with sleeping
- Editable 54-slot inventory, accessible by command or right-click
- Inventory contents drop when a fake player is removed
- Random configurable names and four bundled original skins
- Optional tab-list visibility
- No hard limit on the number of fake players
Commands
/fakeplayer spawn [name]/fakeplayer remove [name]— omit the name to remove the fake player you are looking at/fakeplayer list/fakeplayer teleport <name>— bring a fake player to you/fakeplayer goto <name>— teleport to a fake player/fakeplayer inventory <name>
Configuration
The mod creates config/standin-common.toml, where you can configure the command permission level, chunk radius, tab-list visibility, and random name pool.
Custom standard 64x64 Minecraft skin PNGs can be placed in config/standin/skins. Bundled skins are copied there automatically on first launch.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.221 or newer on the 21.1.x line
- Designed for both All the Mods 10 and All the Mods 10: To the Sky
Gameplay features work with a server-only installation. Installing the mod on clients enables the bundled and locally added custom fake-player skins; unmodded clients see an ordinary player skin instead.
