Per-Dimension Respawn

Applicable: Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge

Vanilla only saves a single global spawn point: setting a respawn point in the Nether or the End overwrites the bed in the Overworld. This mod lets each dimension remember its own respawn point, independently of the others.

  • Teleporting to a dimension makes that dimension your respawn dimension, and the position you land at / are teleported to becomes that dimension's default spawn point.
  • Sleeping or using a respawn anchor in that dimension only overrides that one dimension; records for other dimensions are completely unaffected.
  • Dying in a dimension respawns you directly in that dimension, using that dimension's own spawn point.
  • The arrival point is recorded only once; re-entering that dimension later does not overwrite it, so the default point becomes fixed.
  • Beds and respawn anchors are validated in real time on respawn: break the bed, and that dimension immediately falls back to its own default spawn point instead of sending you back to the bed's old location.

Administrators (OP level 4) can pin a default respawn coordinate for any dimension, and can also individually remove a player's per-dimension respawn restriction, returning them to vanilla rules.

Data is stored in the player save and is not lost on death, logout, or server restart.
