inventory sprites for mythril has been implemented! items are still humongous when held, but now fit better in your inventory :)

mythril is no longer translucent because amber spent more than 10 seconds on the texture and wanted it fully visible

various items now are emissive (souls, peculiar weapons, all active tomes, the electricity on copper cleavers, ichor (both the item and the ichor on the daggers), echoing mirror, and the void on the blade.

Fallen Hero Dagger is a relic of an item, found in Ancient Cities. It has been long used by another hero, who had fallen from the overwhelming power of the Warden.

 

Fallen Hero Sword is a relic of an item, found in Strongholds--or dropped by the Ender dragon. Once a strong hero had challenged the dragon, how the mighty fall.

 

Both of these items can be used to make post-endgame weapons, or smelt down for ancient debris. Choose what you want, i guess!

 

Souls are a multi-use item in Peculia, drops 1-4 from most hostile mobs, and differs for certain mobs (Wither, Wither Skeleton & Warden)

Souls can be used as a fuel in furnaces, can be used to craft soul torches, are an ammo for tomes, and can be used to craft Glyphs and the Soul Cloak.

 

Now by combining all of your hard work with the Fallen Hero Sword or Fallen Hero Dagger, you can make the

 

Peculiar Dagger - 9 damage, 2 attack speed

which has a special ability, Echoing--which has a 25% chance to echo damage onto your enemies.

 

Peculiar Sword - 11 damage, 1.5 attack speed

which has a WIP special ability, Projecting--which will shoot a projection of a sword out on swinging. For now, it's fill-in is Echoing. Thank you for being patient :)

 

 

Sanguine Quartz Fragment & Sanguine Quartz are new items in Peculia, found in the nether. More planned uses coming in the future, they can be used currently to invert Tomes--bringing a darker side of their magic out.

 

A completely new system of magic, Tomes (and glyphs, diet tomes), have been added!

6 starting tomes with this update, I plan to add more.

 

Inactive Tomes can be crafted by right clicking a book in Condensed Void, making an empty Inactive Tome. Once created, Inactive Tomes can be assigned a certain spell from specific items in a smithing table.

 

Inactive Tome + Ghast Tear = Inactive Healing Tome, 

Inactive Healing Tome + Totem of Undying = Lesser Tome of Healing,

Lesser Healing Tome + Nether Star = Greater Tome of Healing,

 

Inactive Tome + Feather = Inactive Updraft Tome, 

Inactive Updraft Tome + Phantom Membrane = Lesser Tome of Updraft,

Lesser Updraft Tome + Nether Star = Greater Tome of Updraft,

 

Inactive Tome + Ancient Debris = Inactive Fortifying Tome, 

Inactive Fortifying Tome + Enchanted Golden Apple = Lesser Tome of Fortifying,

Lesser Fortifying Tome + Nether Star = Greater Tome of Fortifying

 

Inactive Tome + Sugar = Inactive Agility Tome, 

Inactive Agility Tome + Rabbit's Foot = Lesser Tome of Agility,

Lesser Agility Tome + Nether Star = Greater Tome of Agility

 

Inactive Tome + Glowstone Dust = Inactive Watching Tome,

All of these tomes can be inverted with "Sanguine Quartz", using the same function as above.

Healing Tome

Lesser - on right click, consumes 7 souls & heals 2 hearts--on shift right click. consumes 6 souls & heals around an area of 1-2 hearts. (this is a bug, but i will fix it with the next version considering thats coming out in a bit <3)

Greater - on right click, consumes 3 souls & heals 4 hearts--on shift right click, consumes 6 souls & heals around an area of 3-4 hearts.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but heals slightly better--while harming mobs around you.

 

Updraft

Lesser - on right click, consumes 4 souls & lifts the user up 7-8 blocks in the air--on shift right click, consumes 6 souls and updrafts an area around the user around 5 blocks.

Greater - on right click, consumes 2 souls & lifts the user up 18-20 blocks in the air--on shift right click, consumes 4 souls and updrafts an area around the user to about 16-18 blocks.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but gives the user slow falling--and shoots mobs around you in the air 10x as high, sometimes being greatly lethal if it's not prepared.

 

Agility Tome

Lesser - on right click, consumes 7 souls & gives user Jump Boost II (for 3 seconds) and Speed (for 5 seconds)--on shift right click, uses 8 souls and gives Jump Boost II and Speed (same times) to an area.

 

Greater - on right click, consumes 3 souls & gives user Jump Boost II (for 10 seconds) and Speed II (for 11 seconds)-- on shift right click, uses 5 and gives Jump Boost II and Speed II (same times) to an area.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but gives status effects for slightly longer--while giving mobs around you slowness and mining fatigue temporarily.

 

Empowering Tome

Lesser - on right click, uses 15 souls & gives the user Determined (for 10 seconds) and Strength (for 20 seconds)--on shift right click, uses 20 souls & gives Determined (for 10 seconds) and Strength (for 20 seconds) in an area.

 

Greater - on right click, uses 10 souls & gives the user Determined (for 30 seconds) and Strength (for 40 seconds)--on shift right click, uses 15 souls & gives Determined (for 30 seconds) and Strength (for 40 seconds) in an area.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but empowers slightly better--while weakening mobs around you.

 

Fortifying Tome

Lesser - on right click, uses 32 souls & gives the player 4 extra hearts for 45-50 seconds--on shift right click, uses 48 souls and gives 2 extra hearts to an area for 40 seconds.

 

Greater - on right click, uses 32 souls & gives the player 10 extra hearts for 1 min and 30 seconds--on shift right click, uses 48 souls and gives 4 extra hearts to an area for 1:20 seconds.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but the hearts last slightly longer--while giving mobs around you Void Touched.

 

Watching Tome

Lesser - on right click, uses 14 souls & gives the player night vision for 40 seconds, and mobs in a 16 block radius glowing for 10 seconds.

 

Greater - on right click, uses 8 souls & gives the player night vision for 40, and mobs in a 32 block radius glowing for 20 seconds.

 

Inverted - Greater and Lesser both use around the same amount of souls, but gives the players around you blindness.

 

As for glyphs, heres a brief description for them too.

All glyph recipes are unlocked in the crafting table upon getting a soul.

 

Healing Glyph will heal 2 hearts on use.

Agility Glyph will give jump boost & speed for 7 seconds.

Updraft Glyph will lift the player up about 6 blocks on use.

Empowering Glyph will give Strength and Determined for about 3 seconds.

Fortifying Glyph gives 2 hearts for about 5 seconds.

Watching Glyph gives the player Night Vision for 10 seconds, and Glowing to others in an 8 block radius for 5 seconds.

If Odyssey (Sydokiddo) is also being used with Peculia, you can craft a Wither Skull Mask! throw two string and a wither skull fragment together, and it's a perfect Halloween mask to scare all of your mobs.

Cursed - A status effect withholding your ability to use your items or breaking blocks. If only you didn't get yourself in this predicament in the first place!

 

Stunned - A status effect stunning you completely, rendering your keyboard useless. I suppose you best not get overwhelmed by a certain sonic boom.

 

Echoing - A status effect, echoing damage onto you.
