Peaceful Rain + Channeling is a lightweight, vanilla-friendly Fabric mod that gives players and server administrators greater control over Minecraft's weather mechanics.

Whether you want to enjoy relaxing rainstorms without random lightning strikes or use your Channeling trident without waiting for a thunderstorm, this mod lets you customize both features independently.

Enjoy the rain without worrying about naturally occurring lightning!

• Prevents naturally spawned lightning during thunderstorms.
• Suppresses the thunder associated with those prevented lightning strikes.
• Preserves normal rain, thunderstorms, weather cycles, and storm durations.
• Does not block lightning summoned through commands or Channeling tridents.
• Can be enabled or disabled independently.

⚡ Channeling During Rain

Why wait for a thunderstorm to unleash your trident?

• Allows Channeling-enchanted tridents to summon lightning during ordinary rain.
• Works with Minecraft's existing Channeling enchantment.
• Preserves normal Channeling conditions, including exposed targets.
• Does not enable Channeling during clear weather.
• Can be disabled to restore vanilla thunderstorm-only behavior.

⚙️ Configuration

Both features can be toggled independently, with changes taking effect immediately.

🖥️ GUI Configuration (Optional)

Players who prefer a graphical configuration screen can use Mod Menu + Cloth Config.

Both optional dependencies must be installed on the Minecraft client to access the GUI configuration screen.

• Mod Menu: Provides access to the Configure button.
• Cloth Config: Provides the graphical configuration interface.

Neither is required to use the mod's gameplay features or commands.

⌨️ In-Game Commands

Peaceful Rain + Channeling also supports commands for configuring both features in singleplayer and on dedicated servers.

Permissions: Commands require operator-level permissions on dedicated servers or appropriate command permissions in singleplayer.

All configuration methods use the same settings, stored in:

config/peaceful-rain.json

Changes made through commands or the GUI are saved to the existing configuration file.

Dedicated servers do not need Mod Menu or Cloth Config. Server administrators can manage the mod entirely through commands or its configuration file.

🔄 Minecraft Version Compatibility

This mod is developed and tested for the latest stable release of Minecraft: Java Edition and will be updated as needed for subsequent stable releases.

Previous Minecraft versions will not receive further mod updates or maintenance.

Compatibility with other Minecraft versions may be possible but is not tested or supported.
