What's new
PaxImperia Transport System — changes from 1.25.5 to 1.25.6
Install the same version (1.37.2) on the server and on every client: the network format changed in this range.
Highlights
- Repairs: roads, railway sections and switch levers destroyed by explosions are rebuilt automatically; any road can be repaired on demand from the map.
- Altitude of route points: set each point at ground level, on an embankment, on a bridge, in a cutting or in a tunnel, from the map or with
/trace. - Clean road geometry: tapers where a road changes width, real curves where two roads meet at an angle, forks with no tangled markings.
- Remove or demolish roads: a whole section or just a stretch, keeping the blocks or giving the land back to grass.
- Paver fix: no more forgotten pieces of road in the middle of a worksite.
- Smooth bands on the map and shorter, readable map menus.
Menu names below are the current ones (shortened in 1.37.2).
1.37.2 — Readable map menus
- The JourneyMap menu labels were too long: with a large GUI scale the sub-menu opened off-screen. Labels are now short: Repair, Remove (keep blocks), Demolish section, Stretch: start here / remove to here / demolish to here / cancel, Cancel (refunded), Order, Point altitude…, Tunnel or surface…, Tunnels: allow / none. Details are in the chat messages and the player guide.
1.37.1 — The paver no longer leaves gaps
- Fix: a paver placed (or placed again) in the middle of a worksite split the section and remembered only one leftover piece. A second split overwrote it, leaving an orange ghost in the middle of the road. The leftover was also only built once everything else was finished.
- The paver now keeps a saved list of leftover pieces, builds the shorter side of a split first, and finishes leftovers before moving further away.
- Pieces forgotten before this version: bring a paver in worksite mode within 16 blocks of the orange ghost and it builds it.
1.37.0 — Remove or demolish part of a road
- New entries in the map menu Nearest road (Pax Imperia):
- Demolish section: pavement, shoulders, barriers and junction pads that are no longer used are removed, and grass comes back.
- Stretch: start here, then at the end Stretch: remove to here (blocks stay) or Stretch: demolish to here.
- A stretch can span several sections of the same road. The rest of the road stays in the network, with continuous markings.
- Bridges on the removed part are taken down; a bridge cut in two is rebuilt on what remains if needed.
- Same permissions as cancelling an order (ministers and head of state of the owning nation).
- Embankments, slopes and tunnels are left as they are.
1.36.1 to 1.36.4 — Road joins, bends and forks
- Width change in line (under 15°): the wider road narrows in a symmetric taper (10–30 m) and its edge lines converge.
- Bends: two roads meeting at an angle are joined by a real curve. Asphalt, shoulders and markings follow the curve, and the old sharp corner is covered with grass.
- Between roads of different width or type (from 15°), the width changes gradually along the curve; edge lines follow it when both roads have them, and the centre dashes continue when both have a centre line.
- 1.36.3 fixed a bulge on the outer side of these curves.
- Priority: the wider road keeps its markings; the narrower road's lines stop at its edge.
- Forks and slip roads: the main road's edge line becomes short dashes along the opening, like a motorway exit, and the branch's lines only start once it has clearly left the main carriageway. No more overlapping or doubled lines.
- Test command:
/paxrail test fourches(five layouts around the player).
1.36.0 — Repairs, point altitude, smooth map
Repairs
- Automatic repair after explosions (TNT, shells):
- damaged road surface (asphalt, layers, barriers) becomes a repair worksite, shown in orange on the map; a paver in worksite mode only re-lays what is missing, then the rounded corners of nearby junctions;
- a cut railway section becomes a worksite again; the work train re-lays it in the same place, with its switches and bridges;
- a destroyed switch lever comes back on its own 30 s later, or once the nearby track has been rebuilt.
- Repair on demand: on the map, right-click a road › Nearest road (Pax Imperia) › Repair.
- The paver no longer uses materials for blocks already in place.
- Server option
reparationAuto(on by default). - Fix: a repair worksite split under a paver used to become a duplicate road.
Altitude of route points
- On the map, right-click › Route in progress › Point altitude…: automatic, ground level, ground +3 / +6 / +10 / +20 m, ground −4 / −8 / −15 m. The point turns light blue and the panel lists the chosen altitudes.
- The line passes at that height at the point and joins the rest of the profile at the maximum gradient. If that is impossible, the quote says so and keeps the automatic profile.
- With
/trace, writeh0,h+6,h-8… just before a point.
Map
- Route and road bands are smooth: no more staircase on the preview, no zigzag edges or pinching where sections join.
1.35.6 — Map fixes
- The green line of your last order no longer stays on the map for the whole session: it fades after 30 s, when you cancel from the map, and when you log out. Worksites stay visible in orange while they exist.
- Remove a built road from the network: map › Nearest road (Pax Imperia) › Remove (keep blocks). The road disappears from the map, from connections and from junctions, and its bridges are removed; the blocks stay in the world.
