Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Major changes added after 5.0.0 up to 5.5.5:
1. Partner Talent Tree
Added a complete Partner Talent Tree system.
The Talent Tree opens with the G key when the player has a valid Partner. It contains three branches:
- Companionship
- Support
- Adventure
Each branch has 6 talents, for a total of 18 talents.
Talent rules:
- Each talent costs 1 Talent Point.
- Talent 1 in each branch can be unlocked first.
- Talents 2 and 3 require Talent 1.
- Talent 4 requires Talents 2 and 3.
- Talents 5 and 6 require Talent 4.
- Talent Points are earned through Partner Missions.
- Talents reset if the Partner relationship is lost.
The Talent Tree UI was redesigned with a dark romantic style using pink, purple, blue, and gold branch themes. Talent nodes now use cleaner visual states instead of numbers or checkmarks. Tooltips were improved and given solid backgrounds so icons, text, and lines behind them no longer show through.
2. Partner Talent Missions
Added the Talent Missions system.
Players receive 4 active Partner Missions. Completing all 4 missions grants +1 Talent Point. After completion, a real-time cooldown begins before a new mission set can appear.
Mission system features:
- 4 active missions per set.
- Completing all 4 grants +1 Talent Point.
- 1 hour real cooldown after a completed set.
- Mission reroll system.
- 4 reroll sets per reward step.
- Mission difficulty scales with talent progress.
- Debug commands for testing missions, cooldowns, points, and talent states.
- Cleaner mission UI without technical clutter such as tier/progress/debug text in normal gameplay.
3. Partner Loss Talent Reset
Added full reset protection when the Partner relationship is lost.
If the Partner dies, leaves, reaches relationship-breaking states, goes with the Male, or is no longer a valid Partner, the talent system resets.
Reset includes:
- Talent Points reset to 0.
- Unlocked talents reset to 0.
- Mission progress resets.
- Cooldowns reset.
- Reroll set resets.
- Talent effects stop working.
- Talent Tree closes if it was open.
- A future new Partner starts from zero.
This prevents keeping powerful Partner bonuses after losing the relationship.
4. Companionship Talent Effects
Added all 6 Companionship talents.
Companionship focuses on emotional bond, protection, and survival near the Partner.
Companionship 1 — Loyal Bond
When you are hurt within 10 blocks of your Partner, she grants Regeneration I for 6 seconds.
Cooldown: 45 seconds.
Companionship 2 — Calm Presence
When you stay within 10 blocks of your Partner, harmful effects on you expire slightly faster.
Companionship 3 — Steady Steps
When your Partner is nearby, short falls hurt you 20% less.
Companionship 4 — Reassuring Voice
When your health drops to 4 hearts or less near your Partner, she grants Absorption I for 12 seconds.
Cooldown: 2 minutes.
Companionship 5 — Protective Rage
When multiple different mobs attack you near your Partner, she grants Strength II for 30 seconds.
Cooldown: 10 minutes.
Companionship 6 — True Companion
When you fall to 1 heart within 10 blocks of your Partner, she restores you to full health if she is at full health. She loses 50% health.
Cooldown: 30 minutes.
5. Support Talent Effects
Added all 6 Support talents.
Support focuses on supplies, helpful items, food efficiency, extra resources, and support potions.
Support 1 — Care Package
Your Partner occasionally brings you a small support item when you are nearby.
Rare rewards are possible.
Cooldown: 10 minutes.
Care Package flow:
- If the roll fails, nothing happens.
- If she has something, she says: “I have something for you.”
- She walks toward the player.
- When close enough, she drops the item.
- No extra message after the drop.
- Anti-dupe protection cancels delivery if she cannot reach the player.
Care Package rewards:
- 1% Golden Apple
- 5% Potion of Healing I
- 10% 5 Apples
- 50% 5 Cooked Porkchops
- 34% Nothing
Support 2 — Potion Support
Your Partner occasionally throws you a helpful splash potion when you are nearby.
Cooldown: 5 minutes.
Potion Support flow:
- She says: “This could be helpful.”
- She walks toward the player.
- She throws a real splash potion using a witch-like throwing style.
- The effect is not applied directly.
- The item is not placed in the inventory.
- The potion is not dropped as loot.
Potion Support possible effects:
- Night Vision I
- Strength I
- Jump Boost I
- Speed I
- Regeneration I
Water Breathing was removed from Potion Support and replaced with Regeneration.
Speed and Jump Boost conflict protection was added:
- Potion Support should not choose Speed if the player already has Speed from another source.
- Potion Support should not conflict with Adventure speed logic.
Support 3 — Gentle Encouragement
When you stay near your Partner, your hunger drains 25% slower.
Support 4 — Lucky Support
When you kill a hostile mob near your Partner, it has a 30% chance to drop extra loot.
Support 5 — Partner’s Fortune
When you mine ores near your Partner, they have a 20% chance to drop extra resources.
Support 6 — Comforting Meal
When you eat near your Partner, your natural healing is improved for a short time.
6. Removed/Reworked Sweet Negotiator
An earlier Support 2 concept called Sweet Negotiator attempted to reduce Villager trade prices by 20% while the Partner was nearby.
It was removed/reworked because Minecraft’s vanilla MerchantOffer synchronization and visual discount display were unreliable. Several versions attempted to make the red vanilla discount line appear, including direct MerchantOffer edits, specialPriceDiff changes, refresh packets, and debug checks. The system detected trades, but the visual/result behavior was inconsistent.
Sweet Negotiator was abandoned and replaced with Potion Support, which is more reliable, more fun, and fits the Partner’s support role better.
7. Adventure Talent Effects
Added all 6 Adventure talents.
Adventure focuses on exploration, movement, terrain, water travel, containers, combat support during exploration, and deep cave visibility.

12. General Balance Direction

Emotional bond, protection, emergency survival, relationship-based mechanics.
Support:
Supplies, food efficiency, potion help, resource drops, mining fortune, and healing support.
Adventure:
Movement, terrain, swimming, exploration loot, monster support during exploration, and deep cave visibility.

Ignore Suspicion:
When Suspicion reaches 100/100, the player can choose Ignore Suspicion. This starts the Partner’s Doubt system.
Doubt System:
Doubt is a new relationship pressure bar for the Partner. It represents uncertainty, emotional conflict, and damage to trust.
When Doubt is active:
- The Partner can begin doubting the relationship.
- Male-related behavior becomes more dangerous.
- The player must respond carefully.
- Gifts can be used to reduce Doubt.

Gift examples:

When the visual gift reaches the Partner:

- It does not become free loot.
- Doubt increases.
This makes the Male Character feel active without creating item duplication.

Added a Partner Gifts menu.
The Partner menu now includes:
- Gifts
The Gifts screen shows:
- Doubt bar
- 3 gift slots
The player can hold a valid gift item and click one of the slots to give it to the Partner.

Partner Loss Integration:
Male/Doubt/The Truth systems are connected to the Talent Tree reset system.

Then:
- Talent Points reset to 0.
- Talents reset.
- Mission progress resets.

- /girlfriend malevisitstart
- /girlfriend malecooldownskip
