Girlfriend Companion 5.0.0 — Living Partner Conversation

Version 5.0.0 is a major update focused on making your companion feel more alive, useful, and connected to the systems already in the mod.

New: Living Partner Conversation System

The Partner Conversation menu has been expanded into a full UI-based dialogue system. Instead of sending normal dialogue into chat, conversations now stay inside a clean custom interface.

Added:

• New Partner Conversation interface.

• Multiple question buttons inside the conversation menu.

• 30 Partner-only dialogue options.

• Randomized questions when closing and reopening the conversation menu.

• Dialogue remains inside the interface to avoid chat spam.

• Chat is kept only for important gameplay messages.

New: State-Based Dialogue

Your companion can now react to her current condition and situation.

She can respond differently when:

• She is injured.

• She has a pickaxe equipped.

• She has a weapon equipped.

• She has armor equipped.

• She is following the player.

• She is staying in place.

• It is night.

• It is raining.

This makes the conversation system feel more dynamic and less repetitive.

New: Recent Event Dialogue

The conversation menu can now react to important recent events.

Your companion can comment after:

• Being healed with Heart Bloom.

• Returning from mining.

• Breaking her pickaxe while mining.

• Receiving new armor.

• Receiving a new weapon.

• Receiving a new pickaxe.

These reactions appear inside the conversation interface, not in chat.

New: Heart Bloom

Added the Heart Bloom item, a special healing item for your companion.

Heart Bloom:

• Heals your companion by 10 hearts.

• Has a 60-second cooldown.

• Cannot revive her.

• Does not work if she is already at full health.

• Adds heart particles and a soft healing sound.

• Now connects with the conversation system in version 5.0.0.

New: Pickaxe Slot

The equipment menu now includes a dedicated pickaxe slot.

Pickaxe Slot features:

• Only accepts pickaxes.

• Pickaxe and weapon are mutually exclusive.

• If she has a pickaxe, she can use the Mining system.

• The equipped pickaxe is visible in her hand.

• Pickaxe changes can now trigger special conversation dialogue.

New: Mining System

Added a full Partner Mining system.

Mining features:

• Available only when she is your Partner.

• Requires a pickaxe.

• She walks away from the player to look for a cave.

• She disappears while mining.

• No floating pickaxe, armor, nameplate, HUD, or hitbox appears while she is away.

• Mining lasts 10 minutes.

• If the timer finishes at night, she waits until daytime to return.

• She returns near the player and walks back naturally.

• She gives mining rewards in a vanilla-style item handoff.

• Pickaxes lose durability.

• Pickaxes can break during mining.

• Broken pickaxe events now connect with the conversation system.

Mining Rewards

Mining rewards depend on the pickaxe tier.

Possible rewards include:

• Coal

• Raw Copper

• Raw Iron

• Raw Gold

• Lapis Lazuli

• Redstone

• Emeralds

• Diamonds

Better pickaxes have better reward chances.

Equipment Improvements

The companion equipment system has been improved and connected to conversations.

New conversation reactions can appear after changing her equipment.

Interaction Safety

While she is mining, most interactions are blocked to prevent bugs.

When she is busy, she tells the player she is looking for a cave.

Testing Commands

For testing mining:

/girlfriend miningfinish

Skips the mining timer after she has disappeared.

Emergency reset command if mining gets stuck.
