Description
Adventure together. Keep your companions in sight.
Elementary Party adds player groups, a medieval companion HUD and private party chat. Create a group, invite your friends and keep track of their health while you explore, fight and survive together.
Created by Elementary Games as part of Elementary RPG. Party works on its own, with optional integrations for race, RPG level and mana.
Your team, at a glance
- Up to 10 members: create a party, manage invitations, transfer leadership and organize your team through a dedicated menu.
- Two HUD layouts: detailed cards for small groups and an ultra-compact, two-column layout for larger parties. Automatic mode switches at six total members by default.
- Useful companion information: player portraits, names, a leader crown, smooth health bars and armor values. Health and mana use bars without numeric values.
- Clear presence indicators: a red disconnected icon for offline companions and a distinct dead state.
- Invitations without interruption: accept with Y or decline with N while playing. With your inventory or another mouse-enabled screen open, click the notification buttons. Invitations expire after 60 seconds by default.
- Friendly-fire protection: enabled by default for damage attributed to a teammate, including vanilla projectiles. Modded spells and special attacks depend on how their damage source identifies the attacker.
Get started
- Install the Party file on the server and on every player's client.
- Press P or run /party to open the menu.
- Create a party and invite an online player.
- Your friend accepts the invitation. You are ready to adventure together!
- Example: /party create, then /party invite Meli. Meli responds with Y or /party accept. Send your first group message with /p Ready to explore?
Default keys: P opens the menu, Y accepts, and N declines. Rebind them under Controls → Elementary Party.

| Races (Elementary RPG) | Your companions' race in the detailed HUD |
| Stats (Elementary RPG) | RPG level in both layouts, plus automatic avoidance of its XP HUD |
| Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks | Mana bars |
These integrations are optional. Without them, Party still provides groups, health, armor, invitations and chat; unavailable fields stay hidden. The level shown is the Stats RPG level. Install each optional mod's own required dependencies.
Persistent groups and configurable rules
Dying or disconnecting keeps your membership. If the leader leaves or disconnects, leadership passes automatically, prioritizing online members. Groups are saved with the world. By default, a party expires after all its members have been offline for 24 hours; server owners can change or disable this. Pending invitations are temporary and do not survive a server restart.
Server configuration: <world>/serverconfig/elementaryparty-server.toml. Configure party size (1–10), friendly fire, invitation timeout, invitation cooldown, offline expiration and synchronization interval. Client preferences: config/elementaryparty-client.toml
