PandAce Performance
Made for the Planet PandAce modpack, but it works in any big Forge 1.20.1 modpack. Everything can be turned on or off in config/pandace_perf-common.toml.
Mob spawning
- Natural spawns skip places that are already crowded (default: 40 hostile mobs or 30 animals within 48 blocks, 8 of the same mob within 16 blocks).
- Modded mobs can no longer pile up in one spot, and the server has fewer entities to tick.
Spawn chunks
- Vanilla keeps 23x23 chunks around the world spawn loaded and ticking forever, even with nobody there. This mod keeps only a small area (radius 3, configurable; 11 = vanilla).
Client FPS
- Turns off Minecraft's OpenGL debug output. With some drivers (AMD especially) a big modpack can trigger a graphics error every frame, and each one was written to the log: over a million lines per session. That costs FPS and disk space.
Clean log
- Hides log lines that repeat by the hundreds and mean nothing (missing animations, harmless entity warnings, web server connection errors...) and prints a short count instead.
Works on a server alone: players can join without it. On clients it also helps FPS.
Made with a bit of help from Claude (AI).
