Paleo Auction House is a server-focused auction house and trading mod built for the Paleo Project Minecraft server.
This mod lets players list items for sale, browse active auctions through a clean chest-style GUI, buy items using the server economy, trade safely with other players, and manage their own listings without complicated commands. It is designed to make player trading smoother, safer, and more convenient for multiplayer communities.

Auction House
/ah — Opens the Auction House GUI, a 6-row chest interface showing all active listings
/ah sell <price> — Lists the item currently in your main hand at the given price
- Maximum of 10 active listings per player at any time
- Blacklisted items cannot be listed
- An optional listing fee (set by admins) is charged on listing
- Listings expire after 7 days and can be reclaimed from your listings view
/ah help — Prints all available commands in chat
/show — Broadcasts the item in your hand to global chat as a hoverable item tooltip
- Auction House GUI features:
- Sort listings by: Newest, Cheapest, Most Expensive, Item Name A–Z
- Paginated browsing
- Your balance displayed in the control row
- "Your Listings" view to manage or cancel your own listings
- Buy and cancel confirmations via a dedicated confirmation screen
- Expired listings shown separately; click to reclaim the item
Auction House — Admin Commands (permission level 2 required)
/ah admin sell <price> — Lists the held item as a server-owned listing; money paid by buyers is voided (acts as a money sink)
/ah admin tax <percentage> — Sets the sale tax applied when a listing sells (0–100%)
/ah admin sellfee <percentage> — Sets the listing fee charged when a player posts a listing (0–100%)
/ah admin min <price> — Sets the minimum allowed listing price
/ah admin max <price> — Sets the maximum allowed listing price
/ah admin remove <id> — Removes a specific listing by its auction ID
/ah admin clear — Removes all active auction listings
/ah admin identify — Toggles auction ID visibility in the GUI (useful for finding the ID to remove)
/ah admin blacklist — Toggles the blacklist status of the held item; blacklisted items cannot be player-listed
Notifications
- Global listing broadcast — When a player lists an item, every online player sees a
[Auction] message in chat with the seller name, item, and price, accompanied by a sound ping
- Sale notification (online) — When your listing is bought while you are online, you immediately receive a
[Sold] message showing the buyer's name, item, and how much money you received
- Sale notification (offline) — If you were offline when your item sold, the full sale message is queued and delivered the moment you log back in
- Expired listing reminder — On login, you are told how many of your listings have expired and are waiting to be reclaimed
Economy Commands
/balance / /bal / /money — Shows your current money balance (overrides the dicemc /money formatting to match the mod's style)
/pay <player> <amount> — Transfers money to another online player; player names tab-complete automatically
/moneytop / /baltop — Shows the top 10 richest players on the server; if you are not in the top 10, your own rank and balance are shown below the list
/redeem <amount> — Converts money into Paleo Tokens at a rate of $100 per token; broadcasts a [Redeem] message to all online players
/convert — Converts all Paleo Tokens in your main hand back into money at $100 per token
Trading
/trade — Opens a player selection GUI (6-row chest) showing every online player's head, sorted A–Z; click a head to send that player a trade request
/trade <player> — Sends a trade request directly by name; player names tab-complete automatically
- Trade Request GUI — The target player receives a pop-up with Accept and Deny buttons
- Trade GUI — A 6-row chest interface where both players:
- Place items into their own offer slots
- Adjust a money offer using
+$10 / +$100 / +$1000 and −$10 / −$100 / −$1000 buttons (money offer is capped at your actual balance)
- Hit Confirm when ready; both must confirm before the trade executes
- Either player can cancel at any time; all items are returned
- Trade safety — Cancelling or closing the trade window always returns all placed items to their owners
This mod was made specifically for the Paleo Project community, giving players a clean and reliable way to trade items, exchange money, manage auctions, and build a stronger multiplayer economy while exploring, surviving, and creating together.
