Description
Ovomorphosis
Ovomorphosis brings an alien life cycle into Minecraft through exploration, infection, and hive growth. The threat begins in infested structures, where ovomorphs can hatch facehuggers, infected hosts can give rise to chestbursters, and xenomorphs can spread resin-covered hives by capturing mobs for eggmorphing.
This mod is designed for players who want a creature focused horror experience that feels alive in the world. The threat is not just a single mob. It grows, spreads, and becomes harder to ignore the longer it is allowed to survive.
Features
Alien life cycle
Ovomorphosis focuses on a full creature progression instead of isolated mob spawns. The cycle begins with ovomorphs, continues through facehuggers and infected hosts, and eventually leads to chestbursters and xenomorphs.
Ovomorphs and facehuggers
Ovomorphs act as the beginning of the infestation. When they hatch, they release facehuggers that seek out living hosts and help continue the life cycle.
Host infection
Facehuggers can turn ordinary mobs into part of the alien threat. Once a host has been taken, the infestation continues from within and may eventually produce a chestburster.
Chestbursters and xenomorphs
Chestbursters are an early stage of the creature's growth. If the infestation is not stopped, the threat can mature into xenomorphs that are far more dangerous and capable of expanding the hive.
Hive expansion
Xenomorphs can spread resin and build out a hostile hive environment. As the hive grows, captured mobs can be used for eggmorphing, allowing the infestation to continue spreading through the world.

Finding the infestation
Ovomorphosis is introduced through world exploration. Instead of spawning everywhere at random, the alien threat begins in certain structures that have been touched by the infestation.
As you explore your world, keep an eye out for unusual resin growth, ovomorphs, and signs that something has already taken hold. These infected areas are where the life cycle begins. If left alone, an ovomorph can hatch a facehugger, infect nearby mobs, and eventually lead to chestbursters, xenomorphs, and a spreading hive.
The infestation is meant to feel like something discovered in the world rather than a normal mob spawn. Finding one early gives you a chance to contain it. Ignoring it may allow the hive to grow into a much larger threat.
Gameplay overview
Ovomorphosis is about discovering and stopping an infestation before it becomes a real problem. The threat usually begins when players find an infested structure or an area touched by alien resin. A single ovomorph can lead to facehuggers, infected hosts, chestbursters, and eventually a growing hive.
Players should watch for signs of hive growth, deal with infected mobs early, and avoid letting ovomorphs remain unchecked. The longer the life cycle continues, the more serious the threat becomes.
