Overlord Spells (English)
Overlord Spells is an addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks with two sides: the death magic of Overlord and Hellsing (Grasp Heart, Wail of the Banshee, The Goal of All Life is Death, Black Hole, Reality Slash, Iä Shub-Niggurath and its Dark Young, The Cromwell Seal and The Bird of Hermes), and Immortal Cultivation, a whole new school out of the cultivation novels: the Cold Iron Sword and its arts, sword arrays, time spells, the giant Dharma Body, the True Body that melts the world around it, the Dimensional Cut and the Immortal Trial, where you face your own reflection to become a True Immortal.
It comes with Innate Grimoire (learn each spell once and keep it forever, bound to you; it can be switched off) and Number Correction (cooldown reduction that means what it says) inside it: one file, three mods.
The spells
Learning them: win the Immortal Trial (below): the Ascension of the True Immortal teaches, straight into the grimoire, the True Immortal spells and, without Emperor's RPG, also Grasp Heart, Reality Slash, Wail of the Banshee, The Goal of All Life is Death, Iä Shub-Niggurath, The Cromwell Seal and The Bird of Hermes. Making the Cold Iron Sword teaches the rest of Immortal Cultivation. Any of them can be switched off in Iron's own server config (enabled per spell); a switched-off spell is not taught. Their settings are in the world's serverconfig/overlord_spells-server.toml, in four sections: overlord_and_hellsing, immortal_cultivation, boss and compat.
| Spell | School | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Grasp Heart | Blood | Crushes the heart of the creature you aim at: instant death (skeletal and heartless creatures are immune). |
| Wail of the Banshee | Eldritch | A scream: enemies around have 15–35% to die at once, the rest lose 25% of their health. |
| The Goal of All Life is Death | Eldritch | A 60-second clock on your back; at XII every mob around dies. |
| Black Hole | Eldritch | Pulls in mobs up to 32 blocks away, erases them and spits out their loot. |
| Reality Slash | Eldritch | A cut that slices through everything in its path. |
| Iä Shub-Niggurath | Eldritch | A wave of death over a wide cone, a sea of black sludge and up to 3 Dark Young that serve you for 10 minutes (ride them: stomp and scream). |
| Dismiss Dark Young | Eldritch | Sends your Dark Young back early. |
| The Bird of Hermes | Blood | With Emperor's RPG, vampires only (anyone, if its vampires are switched off). A red mist with eyes and a sea of blood 48 blocks around you; your absorbed rise as thralls (all, or the group picked with the time-mode key) and every other mob is impaled. |
| The Cromwell Seal | Blood | With Emperor's RPG, vampires only (anyone, if its vampires are switched off). The mist closes in and takes the living in as absorbed; thralls come back. They go to the Absorbed menu (J), with groups for the Bird; section overlord_and_hellsing.hermes (also absorb_bosses). |
Conjured weapons (need Epic Fight Nightfall; levels 1–5): Conjure Crimson Moon, HF-Murasama, Bloodlust, Kusabimaru and Duskfire put the weapon in your hand for 60 s + 15 s per level, and grow with Conjuration. Config: overlord_spells-server.toml (compat.conjured_weapons = false removes them).
Immortal Cultivation (a new school; all legendary):
| Spell | What it does |
|---|---|
| Wind and Cloud Palm | The winds rise where you aim and a giant hand of cloud (about 45 × 50 blocks) comes straight down out of the sky, crushing everything under it. 800 mana, 1 min. |
| True Immortal Aura Manifestation | True Immortals only. Your own face, made of your skin, forms in the stormy sky: every enemy within 64 blocks stops still for about 30 s (no moving, no attacking) and the ones up to 48 blocks around the spot under the face are pressed against the ground and crushed. 500 mana, 1 min. |
| True Immortal Aura Manifestation: Strike | True Immortals only. The face holds everyone, and a giant arm comes out of the clouds and crushes the spot you aim at. 500 mana, 30 s. |
| Dharma Body | True Immortals only. A giant translucent copy of you (20–30 blocks by level) with you at its chest: it repeats your punches and sword cuts in giant size (holding your weapon; 40 damage at level 1, +10 per level, the same for both), stops projectiles and keeps you from being knocked back; in third person the camera backs off to show it. With the True Body it turns red with the sun wheel on its back, stands 45 blocks tall and its cut tears a rift in space that pulls everything in (bosses too), erases it and spits the items out when it closes. On/off, 5 mana per second. |
| True Body | True Immortals only. Brings your true body into the world (cast again to go back to the fake body; no mana, no cooldown), with an orange seal turning on your back. Every ordinary creature within 24 blocks cracks, melts into the ground and is gone, with no body and no loot; bosses are chained in place, and a boss that dies to it melts but spits out its loot. |
| Dimensional Cut | True Immortals only. A bright line is drawn down through the air in front of you and tears open into a slit to another world, any of them, modded ones too (the time-mode key picks it). You come out at the same place there by its scale (8 to 1 from the Nether, like a Nether portal), on safe ground. The slit stands 20 s on both sides and works both ways, for creatures and items too. With Immersive Portals installed it is one of its portals: the other world shows through and you walk in without a loading screen. 300 mana, 1 min. |
Immortal Cultivation Spell Power is the school's own power, raised by the Immortal Cultivation Upgrade Orb (+5% per upgrade in the Arcane Anvil): Immortal Cultivation Rune = 8 Cold Iron around a Blank Runestone; orb = 8 runes around an Empty Upgrade Orb. While the Dharma Body is on, Epic Fight is off for you (vanilla mode) and comes back when it goes.
The Immortal Trial: the Sigil of the Immortal Trial (4 totems of undying, 2 netherite blocks, a nether star, the dragon egg and a dragon's breath; not used up) takes you to an arena of your own (nothing breaks its blocks) to face your Reflection: you, with ten times your health, your gear, Curios and spells (each with its own cooldown), Epic Fight's combat and weapon arts (charged by its hits) and your other weapons (a mod's own kind of weapon with that weapon's own combo; Devil Mine Craft's Yamato with its Devil May Cry 5 moves). Fall and you lose nothing (the arena keeps your inventory, Curios and XP); win and you get the Ascension of the True Immortal and the Immortal Reflection spell (a copy of you on your side for 5 min; 1000 mana, 10 min). The Ascension teaches the True Immortal spells (in the Innate Grimoire, or as scrolls); making the Cold Iron Sword teaches the school's others. Section boss.
True Immortal: the Ascension of the True Immortal (won in the Immortal Trial) or /overlord trueimmortal <players> true|false makes a player a True Immortal, who flies like in creative. Numbers in overlord_spells-server.toml, section immortal_cultivation.true_immortal.
The True Body and the Overworld: the Overworld holds it for at most 10 minutes (a countdown on screen; other dimensions have no limit). While it's there the sky cracks and the ground sways now and then, and the sky stays cracked afterwards for as long as you used it. Bring it back before the sky closes and the dimensions mix (Nether creatures come through and, now and then, a boss from another dimension or mod); once more and the sky shatters and the Overworld is destroyed. It can be rebuilt, exactly as it was, at the altar Between the Dimensions (512 netherrack, 256 soul sand or soul soil, 128 nether quartz, 4 ancient debris, 16 nether wart, 32 chorus fruit, 16 lava buckets, 8 dragon's breath, 1 nether star; the altar is used with E; sneak + E with soul sand on it turns it into sand); then the Seal of the Immortal takes the destroyer's powers for 20 minutes. ; (Ç on Brazilian keyboards) takes a True Immortal between the dimensions and back, and there G picks the world to leave to, modded ones too. Section true_body of the same file: the mixing, the boss chance and whose bosses come (mixing_boss_mods, mixing_boss_ids, mixing_boss_blacklist).
The Cold Iron Sword: Blue Ice + Iron Ingot = Cold Iron; Cold Iron + Nether Star = Unfinished Cold Iron Sword; throw it into the void and it comes back to you tempered. It goes in its own Curios slot and shows on your back; Shift + Z takes it out or puts it back. Out, it floats at your right shoulder: press attack on an enemy and it fights it until it dies (on empty space, a thrust), hold attack and it flies where you aim, hold use and it spins round you, cutting whoever comes close and knocking projectiles back (20 mana each). 15 damage per cut, free. Shift + X turns on its autonomous mode (it fights by itself and leaves your clicks free): enemies near you with the one you fight first, or enemies near you but not the one you fight (Epic Fight's lock-on, or the last one you hit). Its arts (Immortal Cultivation, need the sword in its slot):
| Art | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sword Formation | A formation opens over the spot and dozens of swords rain down, 20 damage each. 200 mana, 20 s. |
| Giant Sword | A huge sword forms in the sky from the pommel down and plants itself in the spot: 120 damage at the centre, less farther out (about 20 blocks). 400 mana, 20 s. |
| Giant Sword Array | Dozens of swords rise behind you and gather into an even bigger sword: 160 on impact, then for 30 s a sphere of rings turns in the sky and 34 swords circle the blade, shooting every enemy within 26 blocks (20 each). 600 mana, 40 s. |
| Sword Flight | Your sword grows big under your feet and you stand on it: hold forward to go where you look (about 30 blocks a second). Free. |
| Illusory Swords | 20 illusions of your sword hunt the enemies near you with its damage, one per enemy, always close to you; each fades when it kills, the rest after 30 s. 250 mana, 30 s. |
Section immortal_cultivation.cold_iron_sword of overlord_spells-server.toml holds the numbers.
Time spells (Immortal Cultivation; True Immortals only). With Rewind, Time Stop, Time Flow, Temporal Rift or Moment Mark selected, the time-mode key (left Shift by default) switches its mode.
| Spell | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rewind | Hold: the world within 48 blocks goes back in time, faster and faster; let go and it stops there (you don't go back). Blocks up to 5 minutes (chests with their contents), mobs (the dead nearby revive), items and projectiles up to 30 s. Modes: Restore everything / Only what was destroyed. 15 mana every half second, 30 s. |
| Moment Mark | Marks this moment; cast again within 60 s and everything within 48 blocks snaps back to it (free). 80 mana, 60 s. With permanent_anchors on (off by default, for single player): Save an anchor (the area and you, for good) and Go back to an anchor (a menu to pick, rename or delete them; all but your inventory goes back), and Save a world anchor (the blocks and chests of the whole dimension; going back leaves you, your inventory and the creatures alone, e.g. undo a Wither Storm's destruction). |
| Time Stop | The whole dimension stops; only you move. Your hits land all together when time runs again; your projectiles hang in the air 2 blocks out until then. Other players freeze too. Modes: 10 to 60 s (250 mana and 2 min for 10 s, up to 500 mana and 7 min for 60 s). |
| Time Flow | Aim and hold. Reverse: undoes one step of its time per cast (cures a zombie villager keeping its trades; zombified piglins, zoglins, drowned, strays, witches and undead horses go back; a grown one becomes young). Mend: back to before it was hurt. Advance: the young grow up, a grown one ages into dust (6 s at level 1; bosses only if allow_boss_aging). 20 mana every half second. |
| Temporal Rift | Lost things: brings back the items lost on the ground here, the tamed pets that died here and, on the End's exit portal after the dragon, a new dragon egg. Original terrain: the land within 16 blocks of the spot goes back to how the world made it (cast twice to confirm). Nothing found = mana back, no cooldown. 400 mana, 1 min. |
Section immortal_cultivation.time of overlord_spells-server.toml holds Time Flow's times, allow_boss_aging, permanent_anchors, max_anchors_per_player and max_world_anchors.
Arrays: formations of 10 Cold Iron Swords (9 in a ring, 1 in the middle). With a sword in hand, Shift + right-click the ground plants the middle one and opens its menu: pick the kind and the radius (8 to 128), allow players by name, and Create takes the other 9 swords from your inventory. Right-click the middle sword to change it or take it down (the swords come back). No mana, only the swords; up to 10 per player. They act on players not allowed, monsters and mobs going after someone allowed. Protection guards the whole sphere; the attacking ones reach the radius to the sides and up (flying things too), never below the middle sword's level.
| Array | What it does |
|---|---|
| Protection | A barrier dome: no monster is born inside, nothing not allowed gets in, nor its projectiles; blasts from outside don't break what's inside. |
| Killing: Swords | A rain of illusory swords on whoever comes in (6 a second, 15 each). |
| Killing: Cherry Blossom | An illusory cherry tree. Projectiles turn into petals and the petals chase the shooter up to 64 blocks; whoever comes in is cut by petals appearing out of thin air right around them (10 a second, 3 each). |
| Nine Heavens Embracing the Moon | True Immortals only. A giant crescent moon on the ground; whoever comes in is pressed down: ordinary mobs crushed, bosses and players 60 a second. |
| Illusion and Seal | True Immortals only. Mobs inside are held still. A player who comes in fights a copy of themselves in an illusion (same gear and Curios, every spell they know, spellbook and Innate Grimoire, and Epic Fight's combat with Epic Fight installed): win and you're back outside (safe from it for 15 s); lose and you die, your things drop at the array. |
Sword Array (spell, the array is the mode): 10 illusory swords hold one of them for 30 s, radius 16. Protection 300 mana / 1 min, Swords 400 / 1 min, Cherry Blossom 450 / 1 min, Nine Heavens 700 / 2 min, Illusion and Seal 800 / 3 min. One Saber, Soul Requiem (True Immortals only): a red cut through the one you aim at (500 damage), then a giant red area grows to 40 blocks and stands 8 s: ordinary mobs inside die, bosses and players take 80 a second. 600 mana, 2 min. Sections immortal_cultivation.arrays and .soul_requiem of overlord_spells-server.toml.
Controls (rebindable under Controls > Overlord Spells and Innate Grimoire)

| R (hold) | Grimoire page wheel |
Innate Grimoire (included, can be switched off)
Innate Grimoire changes how you keep your spells: you learn each spell once and it belongs to you, not to a book, an armor piece or a pile of scrolls in a chest. Every Overlord spell above goes straight into it when taught. If you would rather keep Iron's own way, set enabled = false in config/innategrimoire-common.toml (restart the game): no grimoire, no learning, and the Overlord spells are given as scrolls instead.
Learning: you learn a spell just by getting your hands on it. There is no extra item to craft and nothing to activate. You learn it when you:
- pick up a scroll from the ground;
- equip a spellbook in the spellbook slot. Every spell inside it is learned;
- close any container (a chest, a backpack, a trade screen) with scrolls in your inventory.
Spells are learned at the level of the scroll or book they came from. Levels only go up: if you already know Fireball V, picking up Fireball III will not lower it.
The grimoire: the moment you learn your first spell, the Innate Grimoire appears and equips itself in your spellbook slot. The spellbook you had equipped is kept safe, and you can switch between the two at any time with a key.
The grimoire is a key, not a vault. Your spells, your grid and your page layout are stored on you, so you keep them through death, respawn and dimension changes. Losing the item never loses a spell.
Organising: open the grimoire to see two things side by side: the list of every spell you know, and the grid of what you have at hand.
- Search the learned list by name, filter it by mod, and sort it A-Z or by school.
- Click a learned spell to place it in the grid, at any level up to the one you know.
- The grid is made of rows of 9 spells. The selected row is what shows up on Iron's spell wheel. Scroll the mouse wheel while the spell wheel is open to move between rows.
- Rows are grouped into pages. You can give each page a full name and a short tag (up to 4 letters), for example one page per mod or one page per school.
- Hold the page wheel key to jump to any page from a radial menu.
Spells placed in the grid are Innate Scrolls. They show the art of their school (addon schools included), and they only work inside the grimoire: they cannot be cast, inscribed, imbued or used to learn anything. Free copies of your spells never leak into the rest of the game.
Spell Level Increase: Innate Grimoire also adds the Spell Level Increase enchantment (I-X). On a grimoire it adds levels to the spells in the selected row. With the acceptAnyImbuedItem config option (on by default) it can also go on any item imbued with a spell, such as a weapon, armor piece, staff or accessory, and boosts the spells on that item.
Commands: /innategrimoire edit (open it), swap (grimoire / your own spellbook), learn all / learn none (OP), export <name> / import <name> [overwrite] (OP: carry your whole collection to another world). Config (config/innategrimoire-common.toml): enabled, rowsPerPage (12), totalRows (80), wheelPerPage (20), acceptAnyImbuedItem (true).
Compatibility: spells and schools from any Iron's Spells addon (spells of an addon removed for a while are kept). Optional support for Legendary Spellbooks (the grimoire counts as a book for Annihilation Geyser) and Skyrim Menu (its Magic menu shows the grimoire: a wheel of 9 = the selected row, arrows for the row and the page).
Number Correction (included)
Iron's cooldown reduction only halves what is left at each +100%, so 100% never reaches zero. Number Correction makes it literal: 50% is half, 100% is no cooldown. Options in config/number_correction-common.toml (enabled, maxReduction, minimumTicks).
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (and its own dependencies: Curios, GeckoLib, Player Animator, Iron's Lib)
- Optional: Epic Fight (the copies fight with its combat and weapon arts), Epic Fight Nightfall (conjured weapons, Mortal Blade and Blade Mode on the copies), Immersive Portals (the Dimensional Cut as a see-through portal; it needs Cloth Config), Emperor's RPG (vampires for the Bird of Hermes and the Cromwell Seal; it carries Overlord Spells too, and with both installed only the newest copy loads).
Credits
The weapon conjuring spells are based on the Bound Sword of Apprentice's Codex by Aquid (MIT license). Iä Shub-Niggurath's casting circle is adapted from the Grand Sigil spell, and the eyes of The Bird of Hermes from the Gaze spell, of Apex Arcana by HanHoYoung (MIT license). Both notices are included in the jar.
Aprendendo: vença a Provação Imortal (abaixo): a Ascensão do Verdadeiro Imortal ensina, direto no grimório, os feitiços do Verdadeiro Imortal e, sem o Emperor's RPG, também Grasp Heart, Reality Slash, Wail of the Banshee, The Goal of All Life is Death, Iä Shub-Niggurath, The Cromwell Seal e The Bird of Hermes.
|---|---|---|
| Wail of the Banshee | Eldritch | Um grito: inimigos em volta têm 15–35% de chance de morrer na hora, o resto perde 25% da vida. |
| The Goal of All Life is Death | Eldritch | Um relógio de 60 segundos nas suas costas; no XII todo mob em volta morre. |
| Black Hole | Eldritch | Puxa mobs a até 32 blocos, apaga eles e cospe o loot. |
| Reality Slash | Eldritch | Um corte que atravessa tudo no caminho. |
|---|---|
A seção immortal_cultivation.cold_iron_sword do overlord_spells-server.toml guarda os números.
Feitiços de tempo (Cultivo Imortal; só para Verdadeiros Imortais). Com Rewind, Time Stop, Time Flow, Temporal Rift ou Moment Mark selecionado, a tecla de modo do tempo (Shift esquerdo por padrão) troca o modo.
| Feitiço | O que faz |
|---|---|
| Time Flow | Mire e segure.
A seção immortal_cultivation.time do overlord_spells-server.toml tem os tempos do Time Flow, o allow_boss_aging, o permanent_anchors, o max_anchors_per_player e o max_world_anchors.
| Nine Heavens Embracing the Moon | Só Verdadeiros Imortais.
Seções immortal_cultivation.arrays e .soul_requiem do overlord_spells-server.toml.

- pega um pergaminho do chão;
- equipa um spellbook no slot de spellbook. Todos os feitiços dele são aprendidos;
Comandos: /innategrimoire edit (abre), swap (grimório / o seu spellbook), learn all / learn none (OP), export <nome> / import <nome> [overwrite] (OP: leva a coleção inteira pra outro mundo). Config (config/innategrimoire-common.toml): enabled, rowsPerPage (12), totalRows (80), wheelPerPage (20), acceptAnyImbuedItem (true).
Requisitos
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (e as dependências dele: Curios, GeckoLib, Player Animator, Iron's Lib)
O círculo de conjuração do Iä Shub-Niggurath é adaptado do feitiço Grand Sigil, e os olhos do The Bird of Hermes do feitiço Gaze, do Apex Arcana do HanHoYoung (licença MIT). Os dois avisos vão dentro do jar.
