Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changes
- Bane of Arthropods now hurts insectoids and arachnoids: players, created NPCs, tribes, Entoma and Cocytus take the extra damage and the slowness, like spiders.
- New rune: Ior (ᛡ, improvised, for weapons): +25% damage per rune to spiders, insects, insectoids and arachnoids, and it slows them like Bane of Arthropods.
- Insectoid players climb walls like arachnoids: walk into a wall to climb, crouch to cling.
- Mages can learn physical techniques again (Instant Slash and the others, boss arts included). A technique that strikes keeps only half its base damage in a mage's hands; the share that comes from Physical Attack counts in full. The skill book's tooltip says so.
- Armat stone cities: like the Quagoa, the Armats now also live in underground cities carved into the rock, with their chief, their warriors, their dwellers and their merchant.
/locate structure overlordrpg:ferrat_city; they appear on the map. - Gold drops in a single pile when a creature or a player dies, instead of up to five.
- Creatures summoned by a mob or a boss now drop their loot, gold and experience; creatures summoned by a player still drop nothing.
- Hunted players are chased beyond the village: the fighters of the living peoples no longer stop their attack as soon as you leave their camp or village (it could happen within 10 blocks), and they spot you from 24 blocks at least.
- Village chiefs and merchants come only once: villages with several bells, or a bell placed by a player, no longer bring new merchants. Killed, they never return.
- Neighbours no longer hurt each other: a stray arrow or an area spell from a villager, guard, chief or tribesman no longer hurts someone from the same place, so they no longer start fighting each other.
- Corpses lie flat on steps: a body that dies across a step slides down to the lower ground instead of floating above it.
- The mist horn and the goblin war horn are held the right way round in first person: the mouthpiece toward the mouth.
- In the palaces of the Empire's cities, the amphorae now stand under the staircase instead of blocking its first step.
Spawning
- Creatures no longer appear or vanish before your eyes, in the Katze Plains as everywhere: no natural spawn where a player is looking, and a creature in sight (or chasing a player) is never despawned.
- More spawns: the mod's creatures left behind no longer stay forever within 96 blocks, which filled the monster cap and stopped new spawns. Out of sight, they despawn like any other creature.
