Overdrive is a client-side Fabric performance mod that runs at maximum aggression from the moment you launch Minecraft. It does not wait for lag. It culls, budgets, and optimizes every frame — and only eases off when you already have FPS headroom (Adaptive Relax).

This is not a Sodium replacement. Overdrive is the brain that sits beside Sodium + Lithium and decides what your GPU is allowed to draw.

What Overdrive always does

Max aggression by default — starts at 4/4; only relaxes with Adaptive Relax
Render budgets — per-frame caps on entities, items, and XP orbs
Smart culling — entities, block entities, particles, item frames
Scenario brain — auto-detects farms, PvP, building, idle
Spike prediction — tightens before FPS drops
Entity LOD — strips labels, armor, features, shadows at distance

OVERDRIVE — Default. Always-on aggressive performance.
OVERDRIVE+ — Potato PCs and huge farms.
QUALITY — Screenshots/cinematic. Only escape hatch.
