Otherworld is a story-driven exploration mod that works similarly to other horror mods such as wonderland.jar and From The Caves, made as a passion project for me (the developer) and my friends. The mod is playable from start-to-finish but is still a work in progress, as some features need extra polishing along with the mod's finale having not been added yet (this includes a proper config menu that's currently missing from the mod).

Encounter over 30 entities as you uncover the secrets of the Otherworld and free the spirits that dwell. Explore 20 dimensions, read the game's lore, and find materials that can be used to craft powerful items, The pieces are out there, will you solve this world's mystery?

This project began development around April of 2026 as a labor of love to not only the minecraft horror community but horror as a whole, I hope you enjoy!

Shaders and other optimization mods are compatible, but are NOT recommended for the best experience! The mod already has built-in custom fog, pitch-black darkness, and an unfinished Minecraft Beta resource pack. Some of the entities in the mod work best with these preset graphics and textures, and adding personalized shaders will lessen their effect in gameplay.

Additional mods that enhance the experience but are not required are as follows:

• Any Dynamic Lighting mod (except for Sodium)
• Golden Days Base (can be subsituted with other beta resource packs)
