Otherworld Druid Tweaks
Small quality-of-life fixes for playing a Druid in the Otherworld RPG Modpack, built on top of Otherworld Origins.
This isn't a big feature mod. It's a handful of targeted patches that smooth out the rough spots in Wild Shape, and it leaves everything else from Otherworld Origins exactly as it was.
What it does
🛡️ Your armor stops cluttering your inventory
Before, shapeshifting would dump your worn armor straight into your inventory every single time (and if your bags were full, it could even end up on the ground). Not anymore:
- Your armor comes off the moment you transform and gets tucked away safely. It survives death, dimension hops, relogs, and server restarts.
- The instant you turn back human, it goes right back on. No more rummaging through your inventory after every shift.
- If you die while shapeshifted, your armor drops like any normal gear (or stays safe with
keepInventory), just like vanilla.
You still can't equip armor while shapeshifted. That Otherworld Origins rule is untouched.
🎡 Radial form picker
The old Wild Shape selection screen is swapped out for a clean radial menu, kind of like Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks:
- Six forms per page by default (configurable, 2–12). Scroll with the mouse wheel to flip through pages.
- Every wedge shows the actual creature model for that form, not some generic icon.
- Your remaining transformations are shown right there in the menu.
- Hit Escape or the Wild Shape key to back out without burning a charge.
None of the Wild Shape logic is reimplemented here. This only changes the UI. Form availability, selection, and network sync all still run through Otherworld Origins.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4+
- Otherworld Origins + Otherworld Core
- Install on both client and server (the armor fix runs server-side, the radial menu is client-side)
Configuration
In owdruidtweaks-common.toml:
