Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
What was glitched and dead:
- Six magenta blocks in the Sacred City. The markers that spawn its people named a
facingproperty the blocks don't have. They're invisible now, which is what they were meant to be. Five of them also had missing-texture icons, which are fixed too. - The spear and shield icons were showing their 3D models' flattened texture sheets. They have real icons now.
- Dev armour had magenta-checker icons. It's off the creative tab but you can still
/giveit. Its own code says "DELETE BEFORE RELEASE", so deleting it is your call. - Eight blocks drew black boxes where they should be see-through.
- Evenberries never grew under open sky. Wild ones spawn as seedlings, so no wild bush could ever be picked either.
- Eleven mob drops did nothing, even though the Typikon said villagers buy them. All eleven now have recipes (leather, bone meal, arrows, a shield, poison), buyers, and a tooltip saying which.
- Every chapel and oratory chest was empty. That was my bug from 1.82: they pointed at loot tables I never wrote.
The new content gives you something to do between the big steps:
- Lampadas: unlit lamps on posts by every road and in every shrine, camp and graveyard. Olive oil lights one, and nothing hostile spawns within 24 blocks of a lit lamp, so you take the Vespers back one lamp at a time. Doves come to lit lamps.
- Olives: they only grow near light, so they bear beside your lamps, and their oil lights the next one.
- Twelve relics of the old heaven, each kept by one kind of place, and the tooltip says which. Lay all twelve in a Reliquary and it becomes a sanctuary that heals you.
- Ten letters from the ones who stayed, found in chests. Each one points you somewhere.
- The Orthodox table: prosphora, kutia, red eggs, kvass, blini, ukha, lenten stew, honey cake and olive loaf.
- Satan's army: Occupiers walk in squads and hold war camps. The Presbyter pays for their seals.
- Fallen Seraphim on the high ground, and doves.
- Four new places: wayside lamps, the stylite's pillar, the broken gate the army came through, and the war camps.
- Books: eight new Typikon chapters, plus a Where To Start chapter called "Between the Big Things", all in your voice.
