What's new
OreUnifier
OreUnifier is a lightweight NeoForge utility for detecting duplicate materials across mods and choosing which mod's version should be treated as the canonical item.
Large modpacks often contain multiple mods that add their own versions of the same resources. Tin, lead, silver, uranium, and other materials may each exist as several different ingots, nuggets, dusts, raw materials, and storage blocks.
OreUnifier is designed to make managing those duplicates easier.

Smart Defaults

Persistent Profiles
Your selections are saved with the world and preserved across rescans whenever the selected item is still available. -
Datapack Export

Searchable GUI
Quickly find materials and cycle through available providers from an in-game interface. -
Server-Authoritative Scanning
Uses proper client/server synchronization and is designed for both singleplayer and multiplayer environments.
Using OreUnifier
Enter a world and run:
/oreunifier gui
Click Scan to discover materials provided by the currently installed mods.
Review the discovered materials, choose your preferred providers, and click Save.
Use Export to generate the OreUnifier datapack for the world.
Current Limitations
OreUnifier can unify resources through the data it controls, but it cannot automatically rewrite every internal recipe or machine behavior belonging to another mod.
The generated datapack currently focuses on canonical tags and explicit crafting conversions. Third-party machine outputs, loot systems, inventories, and other mod-specific systems may require dedicated compatibility in the future.
Crafting conversions also do not preserve custom components attached to input items.
Compatibility
-
Minecraft 1.21.1
-
NeoForge 21.1.x
-
Java 21
OreUnifier is intended to complement large modpacks without becoming another large content mod.
Current Status
OreUnifier 1.0.0 is undergoing compatibility testing with real-world mod combinations. Additional material/tag compatibility and integrations may be added as testing identifies them.
