The OreMania ores contains a lot of ores with different set bonuses for armors that you can use. You can make tools and armor out of any of the ores.

dragonite, fire resistance and fire area effect
griffonite, speed
angel, flight.
Goliath, strength and slowness
Forbidden, lots of bad effects
Polarite, water turns to ice under you
Oceanic, water breathing, dolphins grace, and depressurization when you are out of water
Solar, glowing, fire resistance, and regeneration, fire area effect
Lunar, jump boost, invisibility, night vision, dolphins grace, and water breathing
Liche, life drain area effect, flight
Meteorite ore, if there is air under you, then you catch on fire.
Ancient, if something hurts you, it explodes
Ender, you teleport and the attacker teleport if it hurts you
Hell, area effect sets others on fire. blocks under you catch on fire.
Corrupt, you die after a few seconds.

Effects

Freezing, makes you slow and deals freezing damage to you
Depressurization, deals depressurization damage to the player which has it.
Life Drain, creates a damage zone which if another entity without life drain enters it, it gets hurt and the person with life drain, regenerates
