OREBOUND Core 0.1.7
Player Feedback, Seam Balance & Mining Clarity Update
OREBOUND Core 0.1.7 focuses on improving Resource Seam balance, making Miner upgrades easier to understand, and improving compatibility for existing worlds when progression values change.
Resource Seam Balance
Finite Resource Seam reserves have been significantly reduced to make prospecting, relocation, and finding higher-quality deposits more meaningful.
- Poor Seam: 1,000
- Standard Seam: 2,000
- Rich Seam: 4,000
- Pristine Seam: 8,000
- Exceptional Seam: Infinite
This replaces the previous 12,000 / 24,000 / 48,000 / 96,000 progression.
Existing World Seam Migration
Existing Resource Seams now migrate proportionally when reserve capacities change.
For example, a Poor Seam with approximately 82% of its old reserve remaining will keep approximately 82% of its new reserve instead of being refilled or unfairly depleted.
Migration support includes:
- Placed Resource Seams
- Existing registered deposits
- Resource Seams packed inside Mekanism Cardboard Boxes
- Stored reserve capacity information for future balance changes
No new world is required.
Miner Upgrade Clarity
Miner Upgrade tooltips now clearly show the minimum Miner tier required to use them.
- Speed — Copper Miner / Mining Power 2+
- Efficiency — Copper Miner / Mining Power 2+
- Storage — Copper Miner / Mining Power 2+
- Yield — Iron Miner / Mining Power 3+
- Output — Iron Miner / Mining Power 3+
- Fortune — Diamond Miner / Mining Power 4+
This makes it clear why an upgrade may not enter a lower-tier Miner.
