What's new
OREBOUND Core 0.1.6
Tool Repair, Quality of Life & Visual Polish
OREBOUND Core 0.1.6 focuses on tool longevity, repair quality of life, clearer visual guidance, and a major texture cleanup for OREBOUND equipment.
Tool Durability Protection
- Damageable mining and utility tools now stop at 1 durability instead of being destroyed
- A tool at 1 durability becomes Worn Out and cannot mine, attack, or perform normal tool actions until repaired
- Worn tools remain safely in the player's inventory and can still be repaired
- Armor and dedicated weapons continue to use their normal durability behavior
- Compatible vanilla and modded mining tools are supported
- Added configuration control for tool break protection
No-XP Crafting Repairs
- Damaged tools can now be repaired directly in the player crafting grid or a crafting table
- Use the tool together with its normal repair material
- Each repair material restores 25% of the tool's maximum durability by default
- Multiple repair materials can be used at once for larger repairs
- Crafting repairs cost no XP
- Enchantments are preserved
- Custom names are preserved
- Item components and existing data are preserved
- Existing Prior Work values are preserved
OREBOUND utility tools also have dedicated repair support:
- Crushing Hammer — Cobblestone
- Prospector's Hammer — Copper Ingots or Iron Ingots
- Handheld Prospector — Copper Ingots or compatible Steel Ingots
JEI Repair Integration
- Added JEI-visible repair recipes for supported tools
- JEI now shows valid repair materials
- Repair displays explain the amount restored per material
- Repair entries document that crafting repair costs no XP
- Compatible modded tools using normal repair ingredients are supported automatically
Anvil Repair Quality of Life
- Repairing damaged equipment in an anvil no longer increases its Prior Work repair cost by default
- Normal repair materials are still consumed
- Normal XP costs still apply
- Enchanting, combining enchantments, renaming, and other non-repair anvil operations retain normal vanilla behavior
- Added a configuration option for this behavior
Tool Visual Improvements
The Crushing Hammer now has its own heavier custom appearance instead of blending in with other early tools.
Unique custom textures have also been added for:
- Reinforced Pickaxe
- Steel Pickaxe
- Osmium Drill Pick
- Reinforced Diamond Drill
- Core Drill
- Worldbreaker Drill
The Reinforced Pickaxe no longer references the vanilla Iron Pickaxe texture.
Visual Guide Assets
- Added new Mining Help visual assets for Miner setup and Resource Seam relocation
- Added dedicated Quantum Bore construction guide assets
- Added dedicated Worldheart construction guide assets
- Guide images use baked-in labels and explanations so important text remains readable when scaled
Configuration
Added or expanded configuration options for:
- Tool break protection
- Crafting-grid tool repair
- Repair percentage per material
- Anvil repair Prior Work behavior
