OREBOUND Core Mod 0.1.0

The first public release of OREBOUND is here.

OREBOUND introduces a progression-focused mining system built around permanent underground resource deposits, specialized mining machines, prospecting equipment, and large-scale industrial progression.

Resource Seams

• Added permanent Resource Seams throughout the world.

• Seams represent large underground mineral deposits rather than ordinary ore blocks.

• Each Seam has its own:

  • Resource type
  • Mining Power requirement
  • Grade
  • Unique site identity
  • Discovery status

• Seams are persistent and tracked by the world.

• Discovered deposits can be identified and revisited later.

• Resource Seams cannot be mined with normal tools.

Prospecting System

Added a complete progression of tools for locating underground deposits.

Prospector's Hammer

• Early-game geological prospecting tool.
• Detects lower-tier Resource Seams.
• Supports selectable target resources.
• Reports the direction of nearby deposits.

Handheld Prospector

• Improved portable prospecting tool.
• Provides longer-range deposit searching.
• Allows players to select which resource they want to locate.

Ore Scanner

• Powered prospecting device.
• Searches the generated Seam network for undiscovered deposits.
• Supports deposits requiring up to Mining Power 4.
• Provides direction, distance, and Y-level information.
• Uses persistent target locking so repeated scans continue pointing toward the same deposit.

Geological Surveyor

• Advanced powered surveying equipment.

• Supports deposits requiring up to Mining Power 6.

• Searches across the generated Seam registry.

• Reports:

  • Direction
  • Distance
  • Deposit Y-level

• Survey signals remain available while carrying the Surveyor.

• Designed for finding late-game deposits across large distances.

For prospecting equipment:

• Shift + Right Click opens the target-selection interface.
• Right Click performs the actual scan or survey.

Mining Machines

Added the primary OREBOUND Miner progression:

Miners interact directly with Resource Seams rather than conventional ore blocks.

Mining Power

Resource deposits now use a dedicated Mining Power system.

Higher-tier deposits require stronger mining equipment, creating a natural progression from early mechanical extraction to high-end industrial mining.

Seam Relocation

Added compatibility with Mekanism Cardboard Boxes.

Resource Seams can now be safely relocated without destroying their underlying data.

• Right-click a Seam with an empty Cardboard Box to package it.
• Move the filled box wherever you want.
• Place the box and Shift + Right Click to restore the deposit.

Relocated Seams preserve their:

• Resource
• Grade
• Unique site identity
• Discovery information
• Custom name

Existing Miner connections are safely cleared when a Seam is moved.

Easy Cardboard Box Sawdust

Added an early crafting method for Mekanism Sawdust:

1 Any Log → 4 Mekanism Sawdust

This provides exactly enough sawdust for one Cardboard Box and makes Seam relocation accessible without requiring advanced Mekanism processing.

Mining Control & Deposit Tracking

Added infrastructure for monitoring discovered Resource Seams and connected mining operations.

OREBOUND keeps persistent records of deposits so prospecting equipment and mining systems can interact with the same world data.
