🪨 Ore Replenisher
Ore Replenisher adds a dynamic world-based ore regeneration system where mined ores slowly come back over time based on configurable timers.
Instead of ores being permanently depleted, each ore block enters a regeneration cycle after being mined. The system tracks world time even while chunks are unloaded, meaning ore veins continue to regenerate even when no player is nearby.
⚙️ How it works
- When an ore block is mined, it is tracked by a regeneration system.
- Each ore type has a configurable regeneration time (in minutes).
- Ores regenerate automatically over time, seemingly even when chunks are unloaded (when chunks are loaded again, it will calculate the time since last tick, and continue)
- The system supports full world persistence and multiplayer.
⚙️ Configuration
- Each ore type has its own configurable regeneration delay (minutes).
- Default values are provided for all vanilla ores.
- Supports fractional values (e.g. 0.1 minutes for fast ores, 120+ minutes for rare ores like diamond).
✨ Silk Touch behavior
Silk Touch does not create ore blocks in inventory.
Instead:
- Silk Touch simply removes the ore block from the world.
- The block DOES NOT drop its normal ore item.
- No regeneration is triggered for that position.
- The only way to permanently destroy an ore block in survival.
This allows Silk Touch to act as a clean removal tool without breaking the regeneration system or enabling ore relocation exploits.
💡 Key features
- Offline / chunk-unloaded progression
- Fully configurable ore timers
