Diamond, Coal, Redstone, Lapis Lazuli, Emerald and Nether Quartz are ores in Minecraft. They are ores that don't drop as an ore. They drop as an item. For the most part, this is fine. Some more artistic texture/resource packs use the ores as different things. I think it's only right to allow people to use these blocks.
Creating recipes for the injectors make the mod balanced because it takes over or exactly the maximum amount of material that can be mined using a Fortune III Pickaxe.
