OptState is an ARG-style horror mod for singleplayer. It starts small: a sound
you can't place, a door that wasn't open, an animal that won't stop looking at
you. Each thing is easy to explain away, until it isn't.

Play survival normally. Don't go looking for it.

## How it works
- The horror escalates over exactly 20 minutes of active survival play.
- Only active play counts: paused, idle, creative and the death screen don't.
- Your progress is saved automatically and resumes if you leave the world or the
  game crashes, so you never have to start the countdown over.
- Everything happens inside the Minecraft window. The mod never closes the game,
  never opens other programs and never touches the internet.

## Heads up
- The mod reads your operating system account name and shows it in-game (chat and
  title text). That is part of the experience. If it's your real name and you're
  recording or streaming, blur it or play from another account.
- The ending is permanent until you reset it: the title screen stays broken.
  To reset, close the game and delete `.opt_state_cache` in your game folder.
- Singleplayer only. It does nothing on dedicated servers.
