What's new

Added

  • Added the Projector, a long-range programmable display with a 320×200 pixel mode and a T3-compatible screen mode. Projector modes can be toggled using a Scrench.
  • Added OpenComputers loot to village chests and introduced the IT Nerd villager, including a computer workshop structure, trades, components, cases, computers, and loot disks.
  • Added tier selection to /oc_sc: /oc_sc 1 through /oc_sc 4 now spawn computers with matching screens and appropriately tiered components.
  • Added writable-book printing and printAndSign support to the Document Printer. Printed pages can be placed directly into folders in the output tray, and folders can be shredded with their contents.
  • Added the remaining standard read/write filesystem modes: r+, w+, a+, and their binary variants.
  • Added a standalone Navigation Card for computers.
  • Added fenced Markdown code blocks to the in-game manual, with click-to-copy clipboard support.
  • Added configuration toggles for hiding Tier 4 content and OpenScreens flat screens from the creative inventory and recipe viewers.
  • Added recipe and advancement conditions for hidden optional content, with JEI and EMI filtering support.
  • Added checksum-verified fetching of prebuilt LuaJ and JNLua native runtime dependencies for release builds.

Changed

  • Christmas presents now use a datapack loot table, respect item craftability after reloads, and are affected by player luck.
  • Create: Aeronautics and Sable compatibility now includes correct screen and projector rendering in moving sublevels, real-world wireless modem positions, and navigation heading and pitch information.
  • Sable is now an optional dependency.
  • OpenComputers now bundles and relocates Scala 2.13.12, removing its runtime dependency on ScalableCatsForce while remaining compatible when it is installed for another mod.
  • Tablets now continue ticking while held by the cursor during inventory and container transfers, including while an integrated server is paused.
  • Creative-tab registration was adjusted to avoid duplicate registrations with ModernFix.
  • Advanced machine buttons now use vanilla tooltip behavior, and GUI controls and textures were migrated to Minecraft’s sprite atlas.
  • The Document Printer now uses a standard block model with corrected rotation.
  • RAM 8 recipe and advancement generation now follows Tier 4 visibility rules.

Fixed

  • Fixed the OpenOS editor removing one trailing blank line whenever a file was opened and saved.
  • Fixed case-sensitive OpenOS and loot-disk paths on Linux.
  • Fixed rotation components returning null for pitch or yaw.
  • Fixed CC:Tweaked hybrid peripheral method exposure, callback conversion, optional return values, and exception propagation.
  • Fixed tablets unexpectedly turning back on after removal from a Charger and improved their server synchronization.
  • Fixed Crafting Upgrade batch handling, empty result reporting, successful counts, and valid partial crafts.
  • Fixed possible Robot GUI divide-by-zero crashes.
  • Fixed progress-bar and filesystem tooltip positioning and stale information.
  • Fixed missing-item icons in the in-game manual.
  • Fixed advanced tooltips after the Minecraft TooltipFlag API change.
  • Prevented item-less robot afterimages from being requested during creative-tab generation.
  • Fixed robot liquid detection to use the appropriate level-aware block state.
  • Fixed reversed framebuffer mode handling in the Projector renderer.
  • Fixed the build clean task deadlock and improved generated runtime artifact handling.
  • Removed the obsolete Plan9k loot disk and leftover Drive GUI code.

Build and documentation

  • Updated README links, installation information, project status, and the explanation of the defaultResolution setting.
  • Added maximum complexity handling for Tier 3 drones.
  • Re-enabled high-precision mode for Tier 3 screens.
  • Mapped empty callback tuples to nil.
  • Allowed cats to charge carpeted capacitors.
  • Updated copyright information and linked directly to the new repository.
  • Supplied typesafe.config through JarJar.
  • Excluded generated buildSrc artifacts from version control.
