Outbreak Protocol: Dead Horizon HUD
A custom, atmospheric, and fully functional HUD (Head-Up Display) mod built specifically for the Outbreak Protocol: Dead Horizon map/modpack. It replaces the vanilla health and hunger bars with a themed, immersive survival interface.
✨ Features
- Custom Vitals Panel – Displays health, thirst, hunger, stamina, oxygen, radiation, and temperature in one clean, organized panel.
- Redesigned Health/Hunger Display – Vanilla hearts and hunger icons are replaced with custom icon rows, complete with proper full/half heart logic.
- Shield/Extra Health Support – If Legendary Survival Overhaul is installed, extra health/shield bars are automatically displayed.
- Immersive Ticker Bar – A cinematic top bar that cycles through atmospheric status messages like "DEAD HORIZON // SECTOR 7" and "QUARANTINE BREACH DETECTED."
- Custom Chat Overlay – A stylized, theme-matching chat box with clickable links, auto-fading messages, and mouse-scroll support.
- Vanilla Overlay Hiding – Automatically disables the vanilla health and hunger bars to avoid on-screen clutter.
- Deeply Configurable – Position, size, colors, borders, padding, text scale, and more can all be fine-tuned via the config file.
/deadhorizonhud reloadCommand – Reload the config in-game without restarting the game or server.
🔗 Compatibility (Optional Dependencies)
This mod works fully standalone, with no additional mods required. However, if the following mods are installed, extra features are automatically enabled:
| Mod | Integration |
|---|---|
| Legendary Survival Overhaul | Extra health/shield bar, advanced temperature zones (Frostbite, Cold, Normal, Heat Stroke) |
| ParCool | Stamina bar syncs directly with ParCool's stamina system |
| Hordes | Infection level tracking support |
If any of these mods aren't installed, the HUD keeps working normally — the related extra indicator simply stays hidden.
