What's new
0.7.6-alpha Highlights
- Updated the mod's name — Onyx is now Axyon, with a new logo to match
- The old name collided with an unrelated Minecraft hack client (plus a Bedrock client and a modpack); a clean name protects this project's reputation
- Same mod, same engine, same everything — only the name, logo, commands, and config file change
- Updated the commands to /axyon benchmark, /axyon lag-detector, and /axyon reload
- /onyx still works as a quiet alias this release so upgraders' muscle memory doesn't break
- Updated the config file to config/axyon.properties — your existing settings migrate automatically, whether you're coming from 0.3.7+ (onyx.properties) or 0.2.3 (onix.properties)
- Updated the benchmark history to carry over automatically, so same-spot comparisons keep working across the rename
- Added groundwork instrumentation for the next optimization campaign (draw-list elimination) — invisible counters that prove, frame by frame, when the terrain draw list could have been skipped entirely; zero behavior change this release
