OneLevelRepair
OneLevelRepair is a simple quality-of-life Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that makes anvil repairs much cheaper and more predictable.
When repairing a damaged item with a valid repair material, the repair will:
- Cost only 1 XP level
- Consume only 1 repair material
- Restore the item to full durability
- Ignore the item’s existing enchantments when determining repair cost
This makes maintaining enchanted tools, weapons, and armor much easier without changing how normal repair materials work.

- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Minecraft Forge 47.4.x
- Java 17
Dependencies
None. OneLevelRepair is completely standalone.
Servers
This is a server-side mod and does not need to be installed on any of the client's installations.
Known Issues
Sometimes the XP cost is higher than anticpated. I suspect that if you put more than one repair material in, it increases the cost. Unconfirmed at the moment.
