Playlist Manager & DNA Transfer

A small Quality-of-Life addon for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge that adds a DNA Playlist Manager, makes DNA transfer between compatible Omnitrices easier, and includes three useful admin tools.

This is an unofficial community addon. It is designed to complement existing Omnitrix content, not replace it.

Playlist Manager

The Playlist Manager lets you reorganize the DNA already stored in an AlienEvo Core. Each Core can use up to 10 playlists, each with 10 wheel slots.

Before you begin

The Omnitrix needs the Core Removal ability unlocked before you can use the manager. This lets you remove the Core from the Omnitrix.

Opening the manager

1. Place or find an Omnitrix Workbench.
2. Hold an AlienEvo Core with stored DNA in your main hand.
3. Right-click the workbench with the Core.
4. Select the playlist you want to edit.

Editing a playlist

Select one of the ten positions on the wheel, then choose a DNA entry from the list. The selected DNA moves into that wheel slot. If that slot already has an alien, the two entries are swapped.

Names, nicknames, search, and stored-DNA filter

Use the search field to find DNA quickly. The Nicknames ON/OFF button switches between regular alien names and compatible saved nicknames. The Stored ON/OFF button filters the list so that only DNA currently in storage is shown.

Per-Core DNA storage

Extra DNA can be stored directly on its individual Core instead of being assigned to a playlist.

- Store selected moves the selected wheel-slot DNA into storage.
- Add all stored fills empty playlist slots with stored DNA.
- Add all to storage stores all DNA currently assigned to active playlist slots.

DNA Transfer

DNA Transfer copies missing DNA from one supported Omnitrix to another.

1. Put the Omnitrix that already contains the DNA in your offhand. This is the source Omnitrix.
2. Put the Omnitrix that should receive the DNA in your main hand. This is the target Omnitrix.
3. Right-click with the target Omnitrix.

The source Omnitrix is not changed. DNA already present on the target is skipped, and missing DNA is added to its next available playlist slots.

Known message and easy fix

Sometimes the message “[Alien Transfer] DNA data is missing in one or both Omnitrices.” appears even though the transfer setup is correct. This is a harmless, known issue: remove the Omnitrix, equip it again, and repeat the transfer.

Transfer result

After a successful transfer, chat shows how many new aliens were added. Hover the message to see exactly which aliens were transferred.

Commands

All commands require permission level 2.

- `/playlistmanager alien auto add all`  
  Automatically adds available AlienEvo/AEO alien entries to the held valid Core.

- `/playlistmanagerskillsmaxall`  
  Maximizes detected AlienEvo/AEO skill-tree progress and unlocks applicable buyable abilities for the executing player.

- `/playlistmanagerskiprecall`  
  Arms AlienEvo recalibration to finish on the next tick.

Additional aliases are available for convenience:

- `/alienautoadd all` and `/alienautoaddall`
- `/skiprecall` and `/playlistmanager skip recall`
