Omega Ores 1.4.0 Fabric.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Omega Ores 1.4.0 (Minecraft 26.3)
Everything new since 1.2.0.
New Loaders
- Now available for NeoForge and Fabric as well as Forge, with the same features and the same config file on all three
- Fabric requires Fabric API. Mod Menu is optional and adds the in-game Config button.
New Ores
- Deepslate variants of all 8 overworld ores. They generate in the deepslate layers automatically.
- Omega Quartz and Omega Nether Gold in the Nether
- Omega Ancient Debris: very rare, Y 8 to 24 in the Nether, needs a diamond pickaxe, and survives lava like vanilla debris
Mining and Drops
- Silk Touch now drops the Omega ore block itself
- Fortune now gives bonus drops (+25% per level by default, adjustable)
- Omega ores now drop XP when mined (none with Silk Touch)
- Explosions now destroy part of the drop instead of dropping the full amount
- New option: Iron, Gold, Copper and Nether Gold can drop raw ore instead of ingots, for ore processing and ore doubling mods
- New separate drop setting for Ancient Debris (1 to 32 netherite scrap, default 4), so netherite can stay rare without lowering the other ores
World Generation
- Every ore can be turned on or off, with its own spawn rate (veins per chunk) and vein size
- Spawn rates now differ by ore: Diamond and Emerald are rarer, Coal, Iron and Copper more common
- Omega Emerald now generates only in mountain and hill biomes by default, like vanilla emerald (can be switched off)
- Fixed Omega Coal and Iron spawning far up in the sky, which made them rarer than intended
Config Screen
- New in-game settings screen: Mods > Omega Ores Mod > Config
- Three pages: Drops, Spawn Rate and Vein Size, with tooltips on every option
- Changes save straight to
config/omega-common.toml
Other
- New Omega Ores advancement tab with 6 advancements, including "Gotta Mine Them All" for mining every Omega ore type
- Updated ore textures to match the current vanilla style
- Added common
c:orestags and vanilla ore tags for better compatibility with other mods - Proper block names in tools like Jade and WTHIT
- New mod list logo and description
Notes for Updating
- Existing worlds are safe. Your Omega ores and items carry over.
- New ores and new spawn settings only appear in chunks you haven't explored yet
- Your existing
dropMultipliersetting is kept. New options are added to the config with their default values. - If you want the old even spawn rates, set every ore to 6 veins per chunk on the Spawn Rate page
