What's new

Previous version was "bugged" (my fault) and didn't allow discs to drop from any sources. This version adds the discs to villager trades, though only to the shepherd, as I'm told this trader doesn't have many uses - especially as you approach the late game - especially in modded runs.

The trades roll as part of their normal progression, so aren't guaranteed. The pairing of trader level to disc rarity is as follows:

  • Common Disc - Apprentice Trader
  • Uncommon Disc - Journeyman Trader
  • Rare Disc - Expert Trader
  • Epic Disc - Master Trader

The discs can be obtained via shepherd trades for a stack of emeralds (64) and a vanilla music disc (trade prices can still be affected by trade experience and other factors in order to lower it). I'm told this is a decent money sink and a good way to still promote exploration of the world to obtain vanilla discs for trades.

Changing songs to different traders based on where the songs are unlocked in RuneScape is an idea that may be pursued in the future. This mod may work for other versions of MC, Java, and Forge, but I have yet to test it personally.

Accidentally added this as an additional file to v1 at first, whoops!
