Oiled up

This mod adds fish oil, in which if you cover yourself in the rain it makes you float because oil is less dense than water.

The fish oil bottle is made with a raw cod and a glass bottle in the crafting table.

In biomes with a temp higher than 2.0 (like deserts) covering yourself in oil won't make you fly because in hot biomes it doesn't rain.
