Overview Welcome to Offline Avatar by NLoobNeon. This mod completely changes the dynamics of multiplayer servers by removing the safety of disconnecting. When a player leaves the server, they no longer vanish into thin air with all their precious loot. Instead, an "Avatar"—a sleeping physical clone of the player—is left behind on the exact spot they logged out.
Core Mechanics & Conditions
-
The Disconnect Phase: Upon logging out, the player's character is instantly replaced by a sleeping Avatar entity on the ground. This Avatar acts as a physical container holding the exact inventory the player had before leaving.
-
Vulnerability & Looting: While the player is offline, their Avatar is completely vulnerable to the environment and other players.
-
Direct Access: Other players can simply right-click the sleeping Avatar to access its inventory and safely extract or transfer items.
-
Lethal Force: The Avatar possesses a health pool. If attacked and killed, it will drop all of its stored items onto the ground, leaving the offline player with nothing.
-
The Reconnect Phase: The server will strictly determine the player's fate based on the condition of their Avatar upon logging back in.
-
If the Avatar is alive: The player will successfully sync with their clone, retaining whatever items are left in the inventory, and the Avatar will despawn.
-
If the Avatar was killed: The player will log in with a completely empty inventory and will be forced to respawn at their designated spawn point, suffering the full consequences of death.
