Description

The Odyssey
Ready your ship. The way home is long.
An adventure mod that turns the Overworld into the sea Odysseus was lost on. Forge bronze, chart a course, and sail from one island to the next; each with its own way of stopping you.
The voyage
Seven destinations, in Homer's order. None of them is just a mob and a chest.
- The Cyclops - Polyphemus waits in his cave. He is slow, enormous, and hits hard enough that standing near him is a decision.
- The Lotus-Eaters - the fruit heals better than anything else you can carry. That is the problem.
- Circe's Island - the table is laid, the hall is warm, and the hospitality is real. Bring an antidote.
- The Siren Cliffs - there is nothing here to fight. That is not the same as being safe.
- Scylla and Charybdis - a narrow channel with something terrible on either side. Choose.
- Calypso's Island - comfort, safety, and the strongest protection on the voyage. Leaving costs something.
- Ithaca - home, and the bow only one man could string.
Craft an Ancient Map to find your next destination. The sea will not tell you where to go until you have earned the right to ask.
Build in marble
A full Greek building set: marble, polished marble and marble bricks with stairs, slabs and walls, plus fluted pillars, temple tiles, terracotta roof tiles, weathered stone, timber beams, amphorae and statues. Marble generates underground, so the whole set is survival-friendly.
Arm yourself in bronze
Bronze sits between stone and iron; however, historically it comes first, and the mod treats it that way. A sword, a spear with real reach, a hoplon shield, and a full set of blackened bronze plate.
Explore the ruins
Temples, shrines, courtyards, harbours and scattered rubble generate across warm and open country, each with loot worth the walk. The Ancient Temple is a landmark you can find on purpose.
Requirements

A note on this release
This is an early release. It has been built and verified end-to-end, but it has not been through extensive play. Expect rough edges, and please report anything that breaks. Bug reports on balance and worldgen are especially welcome.
