Obsidian Equipment
Obsidian can be smelted down like other ores into obsidian ingots.
Use obsidian ingots like other ores to craft armor and tools.
- Durability - 1796
- Efficiency - 8.5
- Attack Damage - 6.5
- Enchant-ability - 12
- Armor Ratings - 35 (3,6,7,3)
- Armor Enchant-ability - 5
- Horse Armor Rating - 10
This used to be part of my Special Armor and Tools mod, but is now standalone.
This still unlocks the Obsidian War Hammer when using my other mod, War Hammers.
Also there is an extra recipe for an Obsidian Keyblade when using my Keyblades mod.

Is the armor configurable? I'm looking for an obsidian equipment mod but want to nerf it a bit.
hi, i can't craft the obsidian warhammer :(, i have the war hammer and the obsidian equipment mods
can you make the obsidian armor have more blast resistance.

For all of those who were guessing, the durability (for tools) is 1796. This should be in the description. Armor? I did not tried.
I'm missing the config file, where I can configure the durability myself. It's important „detail“ modders often overlook and inspire me to write my own mods.

Forge isn't letting me upload this mod or Craft Obsidian, says it's not compatible. I am using Java 1.18.1, can you fix this, please? I love this mod.

I checked the box for 1.18.1 now, I hope this resolved the issue. I do not use the Forge down loader, but install manually.

Will this allow mobs to wear this armor if a mod randomly equips mobs with armors and weapons or tools?

I'm not sure if it will. If there is a config or if you are able to make a datapack for the mod you probably could.
Is there a way to make the recipe for obsidian ingots configurable? Since you can make infinite lava now with dripstone, would love to have the blast furnace make the obsidian blocks into nuggets, so you have to use the nuggets to get ingots.
*edit* Also, thanks for the awesome mods!

I actually went ahead and made a datapack changing the recipe for the blast furnace to 1 block of obsidian makes 1 nugget; I may up it to making 2 or 3, just have to see what my players say.
