Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Oathbound Relics – v2.0.0 Fix
Enchanting Compatibility
- Fixed the Oathbound Relic incorrectly capping enchanting power at level 40.
- Arcane Attunement now properly adds its configured enchanting bonus to the level already calculated by the enchanting system.
- Improved compatibility with Apothic Enchanting and other mods that support enchanting power above vanilla limits.
- Removed the old internal level-40 assumption from Oathbound’s over-enchant calculations.
- Higher enchanting setups can now correctly retain their existing power while still receiving the Oathbound bonus.
Oathbound Relic Death Protection
- Significantly improved protection for the Oathbound Relic when the player dies.
- The equipped Relic is now preserved as the exact original ItemStack before external death/grave processing can remove it.
- The preserved Relic is restored after respawn once Curios and other inventory systems have finished synchronizing.
- Added continued protection against delayed Curios/inventory rewrites after respawn.
- Prevents the Oathbound Relic from being lost when grave mods or accessory systems ignore normal Curios drop rules.
- Designed to improve compatibility with grave/corpse mods such as You’re in Grave Danger and similar inventory-restoration systems.
- The system does not create a fresh replacement Relic during death recovery, preventing duplicate Relics.
- Existing Curios
ALWAYS_KEEPprotections remain in place as the first line of defense.
Grave Mod / Curios Compatibility
- Added protection against grave mods capturing or overwriting Curios equipment during death and respawn.
- Added delayed Curios restoration to avoid client/server equipment synchronization races.
- Relic restoration now uses Curios’ equipped-item API rather than directly modifying internal inventories.
- Added safeguards for delayed inventory restoration after grave creation or grave retrieval.
- The Rite of Severance still correctly clears the protected Relic state and remains the intended way to permanently remove the covenant.
Logging
- Moved successful Oathbound Relic death-protection messages from
INFOtoDEBUG. - Normal server logs will no longer be spammed by successful protection/restoration messages.
- Warnings and actual restoration failures remain visible.
The Oathbound Relic should now remain bound through death without being lost or duplicated.
- Thank you Everyone for the reports!
- Thank you AK!
