nullpointerfixformio-1.2-1.20.x.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Added
1. No more crash when joining a server or world because another mod sends null/empty data.
2. In multiplayer, a broken mod packet is now dropped instead of crashing the server or disconnecting the client.
3. If a single entity, block entity or client tick throws a null error, only that part is skipped — the game keeps running.
4. Empty item slots in chests, inventories and menus can now be guarded optionally (off by default, so mods that rely on null keep working).
5. Null item stacks in dropped items and item frames are treated as empty stacks.
6. Common null cases such as null block positions and merging null NBT are now protected.
7. Suppressed errors are logged with the [NPE-Fix] prefix, making them easy to report.
8. The mod can be installed on only the server or only the client (Forge 1.19/1.20 will not kick a client that does not have it).
Fixed
1. Crash on joining a server caused by null network data.
2. Item- and container-related null crashes.
3. Server crash when an entity or block entity tick threw a null error.
4. Client crash when the client tick threw a null error.
5. Crash when an item without NBT data had its rarity or name color calculated (common on 1.19.2 / 1.20.1).
6. Crash where one mod's item tooltip code broke the whole tooltip rendering (1.19.2 / 1.20.1).
7. Compatibility with Tom's Storage, JEI and similar mods: items received from the network are no longer marked with an empty NBT tag, so storage terminals and recipe transfer no longer treat existing items as missing.
