If you appreciate our work and want to throw a dime or two our way, here's the link! :D
As it is right now, this mod adds the following features:
- Eight skin tones, ranging from white to black, with vanilla villagers colors being around the middle.
- The majority of NPCs in a given biome will have realistic skin tone range appropriate for the climate, with some randomization to make it interesting.
- Five eye colors. Green (vanilla), blue, light blue, brown, and amber. Ravagers also have these eye colors too.
- Close their eyes while sleeping. Currently only villagers actually do sleep, but if the others ever sleep for some reason (like another mod) their eyes will close as well.
- Villagers pass on these traits to their children.
- Zombie villagers also have 8 skin tones (but their eyes are still all red), and converting back and forth they will retain all their features.
- Zombie Villagers that are cured keeps the red eye.
Note 1: There are no plans for a Forge version of this mod.
Note 2: This mod is required both on the client and the server side to work as intended.
This mod is a port of the Original NPC Variety mod. The original Author have gave us authorization to port it for the 1.16 version of Minecraft.
This mod requires the Fabric API to work

Bro i aint capable of creating mods like this myself so can you plzz upload a 1.19.2 forge version plzz 🥺
Has anyone tried this on 1.19.3? I love this mod so much, I can't give it up.
I put it on the fabric1.18.2 server and output the following information on the command line. Will my game be affected? Can this warning be fixed?

since the creator has no plans to make a forge port, does anyone know of a similar mod for forge?
In reply to RainNyte:
It's a resource pack but does the same thing, requires optifine
In reply to aspengreene3:
Thank you so much!
Some other features to add variety could be beards and mustaches along with different hair colors (that would also affect their eyebrows) and maybe a rare albino variant
could you add facial hair for villagers (and possibly pillagers) like from this pack? https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/more-villagers-rp/ would look very cool and would complete the mod imo
I love this mod! Can this also support the Guard Villagers mod?
In reply to cymophic:
It's something to think about...
any plans at all for forge..
aternos gives me this message when trying to add it to my server: "The author of this project does not allow project distribution."
is this by mistake?
In reply to bbeastt_:
It should be fixed now. Please, let us know if you have any issues. :D
In reply to YumatanGames:
sorry to say but its still happening, atleast for me
In reply to bbeastt_:
Weird. We change the policy to allow for distribution, Idk why this is happening. We're going to take a look into it.
Minecraft Education Edition humans and Nurm from Story Mode might fit in here.
Albino Villagers, Illagers, Piglins and Endermen would be cool.
(Unrelated thought) Would be cool if Illagers and Piglins slept.
will there ever be a port for forge???
In reply to tato0730:
I will save the creator from answering, I was wondering myself but was able to read the notes in the script saying there was no plans for forge .. too bad though cause this is a mod that should have been default to the game :)
In reply to amief92:
dammnn cuh thats wack
Will there be a 1.18.2 release? Or can we reuse the 1.18.1 jar?
