What's new

Added — the high-octane gasoline line

  • Catalytic Reformer (5×5×5) and a five-stage refinery line that follows the real order of operations: hydrotreat sulfuric fuel into naphtha, rearrange naphtha into reformate over a platinum reforming catalyst (Pt on alumina, handed back 90% of the time), crack naphtha to butene, alkylate it back into alkylate, and blend that with an octane booster distilled out of toluene into high-octane gasoline.
  • The line has two real loops: reforming sheds the hydrogen hydrotreating needs, and the hydrotreater's hydrogen sulfide burns back into sulfuric acid, feeding the platinum and naquadah lines. Naphtha is contested by three different steps, so the line is a routing problem rather than a straight pipe.
  • The Large Combustion Generator now takes two fuels. Diesel still burns at 500,000 RF/t; high-octane gasoline burns at 2,000,000 RF/t — four times the energy per mB, and 2.8× the total energy per unit of crude, which is what pays for the five extra steps. Both rates are configurable.
  • JEI shows how many upgrades each machine accepts, on the structure panel, with a hover explaining the dimensions and why some machines take none at all.

Fixed

  • Every block, gas and item name displayed as a raw translation key. A trailing comma left in the language files made them invalid JSON, and Minecraft discards a language file it cannot parse — so the whole mod lost its names. Both files are fixed and all 936 resource JSONs are now checked with a strict parser (the one used before accepted trailing commas and passed the broken file).
  • 1.2.0 announced itself as 1.1.2. mods.toml carried a hardcoded version that was not bumped, and that is the file Forge and launchers read. The version is now substituted at build time from gradle.properties, so the two cannot drift again.
  • Ports did not match the machines they were built into. Eleven port skins were shared across twenty-odd casings, leaving a charcoal oil rig wearing near-white ports and a white terra plate wearing brown ones. Every machine now has a skin whose palette is derived from its own casing texture, so a port can never drift from its wall — 29 styles across all seven port types.
  • Parallel processing units are built from the mod's own materials. The top three tiers were identical (atomic alloy + ultimate circuit); the ladder now runs cupronickel → aluminium → titanium → special steel → super alloy → naquadah alloy, with supreme circuits and superconductors at the top.
