What's new

Nookworks 0.3.0 (beta)

Worlds from 0.2.0 load as they are: the old sorters, the Redstone Cogstone and Sodium Amalgam turn into what replaced them.

New

  • The kitchen grows: bread kneaded from flour and risen on a Wooden Tray, the Hand Quern for flour, udon from the Noodle Maker, corn and onions from sifted soil, doughnuts, cream stew, corn potage and pancakes.
  • Ventilation: a Range Hood over the stove, a Ventilation Fan, Ducts and a Chimney carry the smoke and steam away.
  • Thin Rope strings from fence post to fence post. Hang bottles, flowers, corn, onions and fish on it - fish and kelp dry in the sun - and the Filament Bulb makes strings of cafe lights.
  • Sorters: the Item Sorter and the Precision Sorter keep a hopper's pace until a Sorter Gear goes in (gold, diamond, netherite, Velarium); the Precision Sorter sorts by the tags you pick.
  • Storage Upgrades turn a barrel into the next tier where it stands, everything kept.
  • The Electrolytic Cell makes caustic soda as it was made for a century, over a pool of mercury.
  • Liquid Experience Bottles, which become Bottles o' Enchanting on an Enchanting Table for one lapis.
  • The Rice Bale, the Iron and Brass Workbenches, letter labels, and a village map from the Wandering Trader for a player who has never found a village.
  • Food poisoning from raw meat and fish (milk settles it; a setting turns it off), and a few raw things that can be eaten.
  • Advancements for everything new, a grey hint line under things whose use is not plain from their look, and four creative tabs.

Changed

  • Every item icon is outlined and shaded as vanilla's are; each poster shows its own picture in the inventory; a filled Mob Bottle takes its mob's colours.
  • The powered machines with no fire to show glow a green status lamp while they run.
  • Redrawn: Dawnwood, the Storage Barrels, the sorters, the Oil Lamp, the Energy Cable, the Experience Pipe (clear while empty), Dried Fish and onions.
  • The Absorption Pad drains only a player sneaking on it. The Experience Tank's tap opens only when the tap itself is clicked.
  • The Spawner Controller's power follows its settings; the Laser stands by while nothing is in its beam; an Energy Cable network reaches 512 cables (a setting).
  • Machines keep their liquids when broken, and the Copper Tank pours out of its bottom.
  • Recipes take salt, eggs, flour, brass, zinc, rice, onions and corn by their common tags, and features another mod already provides stand down (see the description).
  • The mercury chain counts an ore once and gives nuggets; the Crusher gives back less for worn gear.

Fixed

  • Flowing water no longer washes away the Iron Pot, the Wooden Tray, pipes, cables and ducts.
  • A machine holding more power than it can (set by a command) no longer crashes the client of a player looking at it with Jade.
  • Ctrl+Q on a Storage Barrel slot threw thousands of stacks; a right-click on a machine could burn the gear in hand; a lit Spawner Link Sender crashed a server after a restart.
  • Hanging things, the Planter and the Mob Bottle respect claims and spawn protection.
  • Many smaller fixes to machines, pipes, storage, ropes and tools.
