Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Nook Technology 0.2.0 (beta) - for Minecraft 26.3
The first beta. Needs Nookworks 1.3.0 or later on NeoForge 26.3.0.76 or later. JEI and Jade are optional.
New
- Short-Range Magnet Chest: Nookworks' Magnet Chest pulling in only what lies within a block of it - set it by a machine to gather what it puts out.
- Copper Tanks stacked are one tank (up to sixteen, 256,000 mB) while the add-on is installed, drawn joined.
- Shaft lines turn Drive Wheels, and a running Conveyor Belt turns a line of Shafts at its side.
- A line of Shafts into Nookworks' hand-worked machines (Oil Press, Hand Quern and the rest) shows its axle as a Motor does.
- The Quarry has a Start button: choosing chunks no longer starts it.
- A speed gear, an electrode, a fishing rod, a Quarry book or a sifter mesh used on a machine that takes one goes straight in; when every place for it is full, the one fitted before comes back.
- Click a Conveyor Belt, Loading Arm, Shaft, Bevel Gearbox or Hobson's Joint with an empty hand to see what it is doing; a Clutch's or Reversing Gear's lever thrown by hand says which way it now stands.
- Twelve new sounds, each with a subtitle: the Loading Arm picking and dropping, the Wrench clicking a setting over, gears shifting, a brick furnace forming and falling, the Blast Furnace's tap, the Converter and Electric Arc Furnace finishing a heat, the Coke Oven at work, and the zipline handle coming off or jamming.
- Machines move while they work: the Electric Sifter's tray shakes, the Block Breaker's cutter turns, the Block Placer's ram strokes and the Enchanter turns its pages. The Converter and Arc Furnace end each heat with a gout of metal or sparks, the Blast Furnace taps its iron with a spurt and a flame, and the Tar Still's tar boils in its sight glass.
- Storage Terminal: Shift+drag takes items out as on Nookworks' chests; with the pointer on an item, the containers holding it are edged in brass and its tooltip says how many hold it, or where; search reads as JEI's (@mod, #tag, $tooltip, -word, a|b); its how-to words wait for the pointer, and a ? button hides them.
- A brick furnace not yet built says which brick is missing and where, marks the spot and gives its shape; built, it is heard and seen forming.
- Batteries say how long until they are full or empty.
- JEI: click the progress arrow on a machine's screen for the recipes it works by.
- A hopper over the Industrial Blast Furnace's throat charges it.
- Thirteen new advancements - the Loading Arm, a line of Shafts, the Reversing Gear, Hobson's Joint, the Short-Range Magnet Chest, the Storage Terminal, the Block Breaker and Placer, the Monitor, the Power Meter and the Converter - and the first three challenges: a Quarry's chunk dug to bedrock, a generator geared to x16, and 10,000 FE/t read on a Power Meter.
Changed
- The Wire Drawer is built on Nookworks' Machine Chassis instead of the Reinforced one: power lines and ziplines need no steel.
- The Coke Oven takes blocks of coal (nine Coke at once).
- The Desulfurizer's sulfur puffs out of its flue and falls back in, for a hand or a Short-Range Magnet Chest; it runs, steams and hisses for the whole of its Generator's coal burn.
- A Loading Arm works on a machine at a belt's corner, and picks nothing while its belt runs backwards.
- A belt counts only what lies still on its run when taking what a machine hands down (a fast machine no longer reads as blocked).
- Belts, Shafts and Motors say in Jade what they are doing: a run whose Motor has no power or is held by redstone says so, a line of Shafts names what it turns, and a Motor that stands reads "stopped", not its gear's rpm.
- A built furnace's throat and pipes can be stood on and bumped into; two furnaces side by side meet cleanly.
- A Utility Pole set on the ground stands three blocks high, and the bottom pole feeds the machines beside its foot as well as the one it stands on; Jade reads it as one pole wherever you look at it.
- Fishing Machine: a rod with Mending is mended by its catches; Jade says whether its water is open and how worn the rod is.
- Quarry: blocks its owner may not break are left standing, and Jade counts them; it is heard digging, and its advancement is earned by pressing Start.
- The Motor's screen is a machine screen: a power gauge, a Turn button and a redstone setting.
- Comparators read what a machine works on, never its gear or other fittings; the Quarry's reads what it holds back for want of a chest.
- In the Nether, the Chunk Loader's and the Quarry's maps show the ground under the roof.
- A speed gear's tooltip says what it does in each place it goes; JEI's Machine Upgrades pages now cover the generators, the Motor and stacked tanks.
- Screens: waits read in hours and minutes, long tooltips wrap, every machine that hands its results down says so under them, the battery and Power Meter screens drop the inventory they never used, and the Block Placer shows the space in front and the block it sets next.
- Redrawn: the Quarry's depth gauge, the Wire Coil, the Power Meter's icon, the Reversing Gear, Hobson's Joint's hubs, the Zipline Anchor's eye and Graphite's icon; belts are closed underneath, a Storage Cable sits flush on a chest, and the Long Hopper sits lower in the hand.
- Packs: the Tar Still's switch in config/nooktech-startup.toml is now coalTar (it was coal_tar): a pack that switched it off must set coalTar = false again.
- Packs: the Quarry needs Nookworks' Motor part, and the Short-Range Magnet Chest its magnets part.
Fixed
- The Storage Terminal no longer reads a very full Storage Barrel as claimed; a trash can never joins it, and a drawer with a void upgrade is not taken for one.
- A run of exactly 64 belts turns; a belt no longer drags arrows, boats or minecarts along; a run driven backwards keeps its way through a save.
- Fast shafts and belts no longer seem to stand still or turn back.
- A Long Hopper line passes through another intake; an intake made with the Wrench waits a second, so clicking through its roles under a chest takes nothing out.
- The Short-Range Magnet Chest and a geared Long Hopper Intake leave alone what rides a running belt.
- The Tar Still no longer pushes creosote oil into the pipe that brings its coal tar.
- A pipe on a stacked Copper Tank fills and drains the whole stack, and breaking a tank neither makes nor loses liquid.
- A chunk kept by two of your Chunk Loaders counts once.
- Changing the gear of a burning Diesel Generator no longer adds or loses fuel, and its time left counts the gear.
- A brick furnace's works never close round anyone standing there, nor build into a claim.
- The Block Placer puts torches, signs and banners up on its face instead of refusing them, and no longer asks about claims every tick while it cannot place.
- Ingredients put into the Auto Brewer by hand go where a hopper would put them, so a potion chain keeps its order.
- The Pumpkin Carver waits for room for both the carved pumpkin and its seeds.
- A zipline's forgiven fall no longer lingers to forgive a later one.
Back up your world before you update.
