What's new
Non Sucking Chest Access 2.0.0
Released 2026-10-03 for Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5, Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3.
Added
- A settings screen with every option of the list. Open it with the new gear button left of the search field, or through Mod Menu if you have it installed (Mod Menu is optional, the mod runs without it).
- The settings screen shows a live preview of the list, and every setting has a short explanation next to it.
- Radius and "Put back automatically" can be set in the settings screen too, as long as the server of the world has this mod in version 2.0.0 or newer. A spyglass button next to the radius slider opens the view from above with the circle, Esc leads back to the settings.
- The list width can be set from 1 to 9 slots (default 9, as before). The list still gets narrower when the screen has less room.
- With the recipe book open, the list can either shrink (default, as before) or go away until the book is closed.
- Each button beside the list can be hidden on its own: radius, put back, auto, keep search, clear search and, with Mod Menu installed, the gear. A hidden button keeps working in the background, for example putting back automatically still happens.
- The list can be switched on or off for each kind of window: inventory, creative inventory, crafting table, furnaces, anvil, enchanting table, smithing table, brewing stand, stonecutter, loom, grindstone, cartography table, crafter, beacon, hoppers, dispensers and droppers, and trading. Where it is off, a pale chest appears above the window; click it to bring the list back.
Changed
- The radius is now your own, saved with your player on the server, instead of one value for everyone. The server config (config/nonsuckingchestaccess.json) is only the start value for players who never chose a radius. In singleplayer this means a radius you choose now holds only in that world; other worlds start with the config value. The config file is no longer written by the game.
- Keep search and its seconds can also be changed in the settings screen, the clock button and the mouse wheel over it work as before.
- A narrow list no longer squeezes its buttons into each other. Buttons that do not fit are left out: in the tool bar first put back, then auto, then the radius; beside the search field first the clock, then the x. The gear and the search field always stay.
- Opening the settings from the inventory closes the inventory first, as with the view from above, and Done brings you back into the inventory.
