# NoMiss 1.2 — The Profiles & Customization Update
The big customization update: all features previously planned for 1.1.2 and 1.2 are together in one release.
## What's new
- **Weapon categories:** All swords, spears, axes, maces, pickaxes, shovels and hoes. Each category uses just one of your 20 slots. New profiles start with swords, spears and maces in three slots; individual items remain selectable.
- **Modded weapon support:** categories recognize compatible weapons through Minecraft/common item tags, with piercing-weapon components supported for spears. Untagged items remain available in the searchable icon picker.
- **Per-weapon rules:** set cooldown and block-breaking behavior for each category, item type or exact item. Inherit the active profile's defaults or choose an explicit ON/OFF override. Exact items take priority over item types, which take priority over categories.
- **Profiles and presets:** create, duplicate, rename, delete and switch setups. Survival, PvP and Modpack presets are included, with an optional rebindable Next profile key.
- **Cooldown protection stays OFF by default in EVERY preset and new profile, including PvP.** Enable it manually if wanted. Duplication, migration and import retain settings you previously chose. PvP's block breaking starts OFF; Survival and Modpack start ON.
- **Automatic server profiles:** optional, OFF by default. Remember your selected profile for each multiplayer server, load it on joining, and restore the previous manual profile on leaving. Server assignments stay local and are excluded from exports.
- **Four settings pages:** General, Weapons, Profiles and HUD, accessible through Accessibility Settings, Mod Menu or the semicolon shortcut.
- **HUD customization:** choose any corner, size from 50–200%, and opacity from 20–100%.
- **Held-item protection indicator:** optionally show whether your held item is protected. Status, held-item protection and blocked-attack explanations each have their own toggle; all respect F1 and hide in menus.
- **Import/export settings:** copy settings as JSON to share or move between installations. Import validates before confirmation and backs up the existing configuration before replacing it. Server assignments are excluded, and automatic server profiles are disabled on import.
- **Exact-item selections:** match the held item's name, enchantments and other properties while ignoring stack count, durability and repair cost. Identical copies match too. Renaming/enchanting requires recapturing the item; broader category selections continue to cover other matching items.
## Install and upgrade
One JAR supports **Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3**. Requires **Java 25** and **Fabric Loader 0.19.5+**. Required Fabric API modules are bundled. Mod Menu is optional; use a build matching your Minecraft version (20.0.3+ for 26.2, 21.0.0+ for 26.3).
Remove your older NoMiss JAR before installing. Existing selections and settings migrate into a Migrated settings profile, with a backup of the old configuration. Original numbered slots and unavailable modded item IDs are preserved. Choose **Weapons → Default categories** to replace an older expanded weapon list with the compact defaults for that profile.
All five shortcuts are rebindable under **Options → Controls → Key Binds → NoMiss**. Semicolon opens settings; apostrophe toggles NoMiss. Quick-add, show/hide status and next profile start unbound. Shortcuts do not activate while typing in menus or chat. Minecraft keybindings are not part of settings exports.
